Outbreak: endless nightmares is the first title of the Outbreak series directed simultaneously to Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One. Since its launch, we’ve seen the Outbreak the player base grows more than 8 times compared to previous titles. We’ve also received a lot of great feedback from players that have directly driven improvements to the game. This success has given us the opportunity to focus on continual updates to the title, as well as planning an expansive roadmap for the year ahead. !

There has never been a better time to jump Endless nightmares! Precision Aiming and Freestyle is the new default control scheme for over-the-shoulder and first-person shooting modes. Your Survivor is now much more agile, with machine guns and the ability to target headshots at greater distances for extreme damage. Weapon balance has also been vastly improved, with powerful weapons like shotguns dealing the explosive damage you expect when killing hordes of zombies. Gore has also been improved to make it more realistic. The co-op mode has also received a significant overhaul and works better than ever!

Fight directly in the face of the undead in the enhanced first-person shooter mode. Now with a clear and beautifully animated view of your survivor’s body and their weapon, powered by the real-time physics system that works throughout the title. This sight also greatly improves your weapon’s accuracy to allow you to defy threats at longer ranges, while ensuring that the controls feel responsive and tight. This was the most requested feature from the community and we are delighted to offer it so quickly after launch. If you prefer, the “retro-style” OTS / FPS modes that were originally released with the title can also optionally be enabled during gameplay.

Increase performance and greater control over graphics

New options have been added that allow you to select game resolution (Xbox Series X only), graphics quality, and virtual sync options. On Xbox Series X, you can now select from four graphics modes: Performance (1080p), Quality (1080p with real-time shadows), Performance + (native 4K), and Quality + (native 4K with real-time shadows) to whichever you prioritize. the frame rate or the quality of the graphics. Across all platforms, we’ve also added discrete v-sync options to target 60fps, 30fps, or unlock frame rate, plus nearly 3x faster load times and a 20% increased frame rate (varies depending on the platform and game scene). In the coming year, you can expect two big expansions Endless nightmares to come out of the shadows. In Whispers of the Nexus (ETA Winter 2022), Lydia will be forced to revisit twisted variations of her memories of the outbreak, just as the hideous ghouls conjured it up. After, Vivification of the Apocalypse (ETA Spring 2022) will continue its story after the events of Endless nightmares while venturing into the unknown.
