New multiplayer mode: double agent
Season 5 introduces Double Agent, a new investigative multiplayer experience. In the match, multiple players are assigned as double agents who must sabotage the mission. Expose the traitors before they finish off the investigation team.
It starts with up to 10 operators who are assigned one of three roles:
- Double Agents: Eliminate everyone else or successfully shoot explosive charges around the map.
- The investigator: Use clues to target suspicious stunt agents as you search.
- Operators: Work together to eliminate double agents before it’s too late.
Operators will be given their roles and can choose to employ a variety of weapons and abilities to carry out their orders, including powerful items like gas mines, counter-spy planes, and the combat bow.
Demolition returns
Released later in season five, the fan-favorite wrecking multiplayer mode makes your Black Ops Cold War debut. The attacking team must detonate a couple of bomb sites, while the defending team must do their best to run out the timer before that happens. In Demolition, respawns are active. Prepare for mayhem.
Four new weapons
Dominate your enemies with four new weapons from Season 5:
- EM2 Assault Rifle (Launch Week) – A fully automatic assault rifle with a built-in low optical zoom. Get it at level 15 of the Season 5 Battle Pass.
- TEC 9 SMG (Launch Week) – A semi-automatic submachine gun with improved precision at long ranges, low recoil, and a slower rate of fire. Unlock him at level 31 of the Season 5 Battle Pass.
Unlock two more weapons, the Cane melee weapon and the Marshal pistol, by completing in-game challenges or by purchasing their corresponding bundles from the store when they arrive later in the season.
Five additional multiplayer maps
- Echelon (6v6, release week): Located on Teufelsberg, Devil’s Mountain, in West Germany, this new map shows the Operators fighting in the rain and ash after Perseus’ last operation.
- Slums (6v6, Launch Week): First introduced in Black ops ii, Slums features a classic three-lane layout located deep in Panama City. Battle in the side streets and around the central fountain.
- Showroom (2v2 / 3v3, launch week): Navigate the shops and kiosks in this small-sized map created for Gunfight and Face Off. It will appear in an upcoming Shooting Tournament.
- Drive-In (6v6, in season): A cult classic from the original Black opsDrive-In returns in time for its 10th anniversary as part of the 2011 Annihilation map pack. Set in an abandoned Midwest drive-in movie theater, this map features hot spots for each weapon type.
- Zoo (6 against 6, in season): Other Black ops Classic, Zoo takes operators through bear pits and aquariums, including a monorail that offers a great vantage point on the action below.
New Points Streak: Flamethrower
Ignite opponents with the Flamethrower, a new low-cost Scorestreak that fires a constant blaze and immolates enemies within your reach. Use it to increase your score towards higher cost Scorestreaks, as long as you control their deadly fire.
New Zombie Perk, Field Upgrade, and Support Weapon
Chug the new Perk-a-Tail of Perception of Death to see darkened enemies more clearly by giving them a bright outline. He spends Aetherium Crystals to further strengthen his abilities, up to skill level V.
Equip Tesla’s new Storm Field Upgrade to summon lightning between you and your allies, stunning and damaging enemies caught in its path. Improves the ability to stun more powerful enemies and increase the movement speed of your squad.
Wield the new Flamethrower against the undead as an additional support weapon to aid your squad in a tough situation or when a little extra firepower is needed most when attempting an Exfil.
New outbreak region: guarantee
The dark ether continues to spread, with a new outbreak zone appearing in the Algerian desert. Fight the undead around the region’s natural rock structures, an exorbitant satellite, and oil drilling in this massive new area.
New Outbreak Objective, Vehicle and Equipment
Season 5 introduces a new Outbreak objective called Transportation. In this vehicle-centric task, players must maintain a drivable Requiem machine in one piece while under constant attack.
Did you see an Orda on the horizon? Hop in the new Tank vehicle, featuring a powerful cannon and a mounted turret to take on even the toughest zombies.
Create the new Grapple Gun for faster movement throughout the Outbreak Zone and look forward to even more Zombies content in season five, including the new bonus map “Ikari EggXit” in Dead Ops Arcade 3 and additional story from Dark Aether Intel. in Outbreak.
New perks, points of interest, gulag and more from Warzone
New Perks: Combat Scout and Tempered
For the first time, War zone receive two exclusive perks, each with its own perks that can dramatically change the way you choose your equipment.
With Combat Scout, Operators receive a flurry of information in the field, as damaging an enemy briefly highlights them in bright orange and automatically pings them. Strengthen your armor using Tempered, improving its resistance to damage at the cost of two slots for carrying armor plates.
New Points of Interest: Mobile Broadcast Stations
Perseus’ allies have deployed a network of mobile broadcast stations throughout Verdansk. These locations change from match to match, so keep your eyes open and head on when you see one for a chance to learn more and earn new rewards.
New Gulag: Rush
Comprised of the main paintball arena, the Rush Gulag should feel like home to players who have immersed themselves in it. Black ops cod war Multiplayer map introduced in season four reloaded. Practice now before Rush reaches the Gulag.
New mode and event
Prepare for 50v50 combat when Clash arrives War zone. A spiritual successor to War zone Rumble, Clash provides teams with unlimited respawns in a deathmatch up to 200 points. Be on the lookout for contracts and public events that can turn the tide of battle.
Later in season five, look forward to the next step in the evolution of the mysterious Red Doors. Be careful, as your increased volatility has resulted in Operators being sent to new locations.

Season 5 brings all of this and more with a new Battle Pass, three new playable Operators: Kitsune, Stryker, and Hudson, new Prestige Tiers, new Multiplayer and Zombie Seasonal Challenges, and more.
