Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:

  • Merciless Solar Fusion Rifle: 29 Legendary Shards
  • Galanor Shards, Hunter’s Gauntlets: 23 Legendary Shards
  • One-Eyed Mask, Titan Helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Geomag Stabilizers, Warlock Boots: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Exotic Engram: 97 Legendary Shards (you can now buy a second with an Exotic cipher)
  • Exotic Cipher Lookup: Free

Xur’s items drop to a power level similar to your character’s.

Ruthless

There was a time when Ruthless fusion rifle was one of the best exotics in Destiny 2. Your exotic benefit, Maintain momentum, makes it charge its fusion blasts faster for each non-lethal hit you hit. This still makes killing bosses very quick, but it has since been outmatched by quite a few other weapons.

That being said, Merciless can still be a lot of fun to use on all kinds of content, especially old-school stuff. It is no less powerful than in year 1; in fact, it is more, since it is now in your energy slot, but there are many better weapons to choose from. Still, if you have any interest in Nightfalls or the Leviathan raid, Merciless is still a must.

Fragments of Galanor

Fragments of Galanor it’s a shadow of what it was, after some serious nerves. Shards Exotic Perk is Sharp Edges, which refunds super energy based on the number of blades you hit with Blade Barrage. The Super Refund has a limit, so you will never get everything back. If you love Blade Barrage, it’s a great way to Super a little more in every Strike or Crucible match you play. If you are a hunter, don’t miss out on these gauntlets.

One eye mask

One eye mask It is a Titan helmet of Abandoned, and it was one of the best PvP exotics in the game. Its exotic benefit is Revenge. When enemies deal damage to you, you will mark them, allowing you to track them through walls. Killing marked targets gives you an Overshield. While One-Eyed Mask isn’t quite as good as it used to be, it’s still worth a pick for players inclined to PvP.

Geomag stabilizers

Geomag stabilizers are new exotic boots from Destiny 2: Forsaken. Its exotic perk is Close Enough, which recharges your Chaos Reach Super when you sprint as long as you have 90% energy. Damaging enemies with Chaos Reach also extends the duration. This is a fantastic Warlock Exotic. If you don’t already have them, be sure to pick them up.

Exotic Cipher Search

Starting at Beyond the light, Xur has a new search for an exotic cipher. Exotic Cipher allows you to purchase Old Exotics from the Monuments to Lost Light kiosk in the tower. You will need these items and some other coins to collect exotics like Heir Apparent and Truth.

This week, Xur wants you to complete 21 Strikes or win Crucible or Gambit matches. Upon completion of the mission, you will get an Exotic Cipher to use however you like.
