Second Extinction: Investigation and Destruction Update Available Now

Hi there! A lot has happened since we last spoke in April with the release of Second extinction on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and with Xbox Game Pass. Since then, we have been adding content and improvements regularly as part of our run on Game Preview. New dinosaurs, heroes, and challenges have been added to the game with each of our preseason and it’s been great to see players and the community get involved with the game as it has grown.

However, our latest update is important. Investigate and destroy features a host of massive features and in-demand content worth noting

First of all, our protagonist is the new Horde mode., a highly requested addition to our gameplay options. Horde mode is a distillation of everything we think it does Second extinction special in a setting that revolutionizes the gaming experience. Starting armed with just a pistol, players resist the growing waves of dinosaurs. With each kill, players earn credits that allow them to access the full list of their unlocked weapons and equipment. Survive long enough and you’ll have a chance to draw, or keep fighting, for those with a taste for high scores and glory.

As with everything we’ve introduced during our game preview journey so far, this is our first version of the feature and it will be improved and grown through the game preview and beyond. The seasonal leaderboards will arrive shortly after the preseason launch, so gather your team and practice for a chance to prove your place among the ERA elite.

Speaking of gathering your squad, investigate and destroy presents a series of tools that facilitate the task. The first and most important of them is cross play! Opening recruitment opportunities on all platforms Second extinction Is available in.

Along with cross-play, we are also integrating voice chat and allowing players the ability to create and advertise lobbies in the interface, making it easy to form groups of like-minded players from across the community.

Finally we present Sunetra. Our latest hero joins Amir as an operative, rounding out our roster of characters nicely. Sunetra’s abilities allow her to use her knowledge as a skilled biologist to allow her squad to separate targets with ruthless efficiency and alter their demeanor to turn enemies into allies, if only temporarily.

You can also check out Sunetra, and all the other heroes, skins available as part of our armory review. Revamped menus now allow players to get a closer look at all of the weapons, equipment, and cosmetics available in the game, as well as information on how to acquire them in the game.

With all of these new features along with our usual pre-season delivery of cosmetics and challenges, we believe Investigate and Destroy represents a great step forward for Second extinction and I can’t wait to get it out and into the hands of the players.
