Nintendo Life eShop Selections – September 2021
September was another spectacular month for new releases on the Switch eShop, with many new offers worth your time.
These awards aim to celebrate the best of Nintendo’s digital store, giving a little love and attention to games that could so easily get lost in Switch’s ever-growing library.

Coming in third place this month is The Forgotten City, which has arrived on Switch as a ‘Cloud Version’. This mystery adventure is a brilliant narrative work with excellent writing and voice acting and a truly gripping storyline. A brilliant and well presented time cycle game, this would be a super easy recommendation on other platforms, but cloud gaming naturally carries its own risks.
If you have a strong and stable internet connection and don’t feel put off by the occasional cloud-related technical hiccups (and you’re also glad that one day, your game will just disappear), then the game itself is absolutely worth your while. weather.

Jumping into second place we have Eastward, a memorable Zelda style with dungeons full of treasures, enemies, and puzzles to master. In our review, we praised the game for its creative gameplay sequences, moving and moving story, and excellent art direction, all combined to create a great experience.
The only caveat we have is that it can be quite a time consuming affair at times, but if that doesn’t put you off, we definitely recommend it. And hey, so many members of the National League team have enjoyed their time with him that he earned second place on this list!

First up though, and with top prize at this month’s eShop Selects awards is the Castlevania Advance Collection, which is no wonder it’s a collection of Castlevania games that appeared on the old Game Boy Advance.
You’ll find Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance, Aria of Sorrow, and Vampire’s Kiss all included in the pack, and if we’re honest, we probably would have voted this game in the top three just for Aria. of pain alone. While the games share certain similarities, we found that they are different enough that they are worth watching (or playing if you’ve tried them before).
Plus, being able to legitimately buy four older Castlevania games these days for under $ 20 is a steal, so download it and join in!
How we decide our eShop selects the first three: As we reach the end of each month, the Nintendo Life staff vote on their favorite titles from a list of games selected by the editorial team. To qualify for this list, these games must have been released as a digital-only Nintendo Switch eShop title in that particular month, and they must have been reviewed in Nintendo Life; We select the ranking games based on their review scores. Staff are then asked to vote for three games that they think deserve to be at the top of that list; the first option gets 3 points, the second option gets 2 points and the third option gets 1 point. These votes are then counted to create a top three list, with the overall winner taking the top prize for that month.
