The Best WarioWare Microgames of All Time – Nintendo Life

[ad_1]

Featuring the latest from Nintendo’s absolutely crazy WarioWare series: WarioWare: Get It Together! – recently hitting shelves, we thought it seemed like a good time to take a look at the entire series and pick out the top 25 Microgames out of the thousands and so many we’ve seen so far.

Of course, we haven’t included any of our own WarioWare: DIY games, as that would be a cheat; obviously our own efforts are far superior to those of the Nintendo team. There’s also no WarioWare Snapped !, because it’s a bit garbage in comparison. However, all other entries are posted. No, not the Nintendo 64DD Mario Artist: Polygon Studio Prototype of “Sound Bomber”, smart clogs.

Anyway, without further ado, take your garlic and mix it with Microgame’s cream of the crop. Waaaaahhh !!!

25. Cut to the chase

24. The Wave

Command: Wave!

Source: WarioWare Twisted! (GBA)

For a game focused on, well, twisting your GBA, it’s somewhat surprising how compelling the one-button stage hosted by Kat & Ana is. Among many microgames that require nothing more than tapping the ‘A’ button, this attempt Pink bear joining a Mexican wave is the funniest and most silly. Hey! Hey! Hey! Hroo?

23. Sleep clinic

Command: Hypnotize!

Source: WarioWare: Get it together! (Change)

Taking control of your chosen character, you have to manipulate a hanging pocket watch to put a huge background Wario to sleep. The iconography that everyone recognizes, a no-nonsense input, and dazzling visuals make this one of the best microgames in the fairly homogeneous (by necessity) Get It Together.

22. Nintendo Badge Arcade

Command: Don’t get caught!

Source: WarioWare: Get it together! (Change)

We chose this one simply because it reminded us of the Nintendo Badge Arcade, specifically the absolutely ridiculous amount of “pass” we found ourselves buying into it. Those badges were great, and we can only hope it returns in some form.

Oh right, the Microgame. Er, just avoid the claw? It is quite simple.

21. Wario Land 3

Command: Reach for the coin!

Source: WarioWare Gold (3DS)

Wario once again eats himself as you are thrown into a divisive version of Game Boy Color explore-’em-up Wario Land 3, watching you take control of Wario himself as he floats up in a bubble to grab one of the games. of the game. Elusive musical coins. A clever use of WarioWare Gold’s tilt mechanic and a fun blast from the past.

20. You can choose your friends …

19. Jump rope

Command: Jump!

Source: WarioWare, Inc .: Mega Microgaming $! (GBA)

Possibly the purest of all WarioWare Microgames, just watch yourself hit ‘A’ rhythmically to jump on the jump rope while swinging. The biggest difficulties see you assume the form of a strange platypus-like creature that jumps much lower, followed by a Moai statue head (think Gradius) that jumps as well as you expected.

18. No lawyers

Command: Exclude!

Source: WarioWare Gold (3DS)

In which Wario commits tax evasion by forcing the door to close when the little man from the Treasury comes to visit. All you do is smash ‘A’, of course, but this one does a lot with a little. I mean, make you think about Wario’s tax history. Which one can only assume is bad enough.

17. Fragile!

Command: Do not move!

Source: WarioWare Twisted! (GBA)

You’ve been energetically darting across the room trying to conquer the mighty WarioWare Twisted only to reveal a single fragile egg and the command “Don’t move!” In fact, a single move will cause the egg to fall and break, crashing the game. And it is in this subversion where WarioWare once again reveals its genius.
