Scream Limited Time Operator Pack Debuts in Fear
At the beginning of The Haunting, pick up the Shout Operator Pack for a Limited Time which includes Ghostface for use in War zone and Black Ops Cold War, long before the iconic killer’s return to theaters in January 2022.
Obtain the Ghostface Operator and other “Scream” themed items such as the Violent Ending, Cordless Phone Weapon Charm, and the Legendary Phantom Sword Weapon Blueprint.
Later in Haunting: The Tracer Pack: Donnie Darko Limited-Time Bundle
Get the Tracking Pack: “Donnie Darko” Limited Time PackComing October 24, to access the Operator Skin for Frank the Rabbit, plus additional items, including the Sky Is Falling finishing move and three Legendary Weapon Blueprints featuring Purple Electric Tracer Fire.
The ghosts of Verdansk invade the war zone
A spiritual successor to Zombie Royale, the Ghosts of Verdansk limited-time mode brings new threats and challenges to the Battle Royale experience. In this mode, available only during The Haunting event, death no longer means a trip to the Gulag. Instead, the operators become ghosts after being eliminated for the first time.
Ghosts gain supernatural abilities like Super Jump, allowing them access to high ground and the ability to float to safety. They can also teleport, helping to bridge the gap against live operators. Spectral Blast delivers an area of effect stun attack that slows operators and disables vehicles.
Eliminate live operators to win souls that ghosts can exchange for another life, or instantly redistribute by performing a finishing move. Operators in dire need should head to the Sacred Ground, an impassable sanctuary for the undead … at least until they destroy it.
Manage your Fear accordingly, tracking on a scale of 0 to 100 points. Each operator starts the match with zero fear points. At 50 points, the hallucinations begin. At 100? No one has lived to tell the tale.
Fear increases when you are hit by the enemy and when you camp, you see corpses or ghosts and lose a squadmate. Fear subsides after hallucinations and when you take out an enemy operator or ghost, revive a squadmate, complete a contract, or remain within Sacred Ground.
Multiplayer Brings Nuketown ’84 Halloween, New Modes
The classic Black ops The map is full of Halloween spirit, with a change from day to night along with many themed decorations like the pumpkin clock and other accessories. Three new limited-time multiplayer modes will also be available during The Haunting, including:
- Infected. Eighteen agents are divided into two teams: survivors and zombies who try to turn the remaining survivors into the undead. Survivors win if they exceed the time before everyone joins the horde.
- Prop Hunt Halloween. This themed prop hunt sees player-controlled skulls, lanterns, black cats, bats, skeletons, and more hidden among the other decorations at Nuketown ’84 Halloween.
- Deathmatch shout. In this terrifying mode, two operators are chosen as Ghostface and tasked with eliminating their prey. The survivors must face the killers head-on or run for their lives, though their periodic screams will make it difficult to hide for long …
Zombies reign in the relics eve outbreak
Can you survive the Hallows’ Eve outbreak? In this variation of Outbreak, your only goal is to survive. The match lasts only 10 minutes in a single region, but the difficulty increases every two minutes, which means more zombies, specials and elites with more health. Are you feeling overwhelmed? Eliminate the Orda to give your gear a massive boost. It is not a big thing.
Zombies Halloween updates
Collect fear packs containing huge rewards every five rounds on round-based zombie maps and every outbreak region. Zombies can also drop Jack O’Lanterns for additional rewards, and enemies with pumpkin heads will appear that can be shot for additional Essence.
New challenges and rewards
The Haunting brings two sets of nine challenges, one for War zone and the other for Black Ops Cold War. Complete challenges to earn new items like weapon blueprints. Complete any of the sets to unlock the new LAPA SMG, a high-damage weapon with solid control and range.
