Apex Legends Season 11 – Escape: New Gameplay Details Including Ash’s Abilities, New Map, New Gun

[ad_1]

Apex Legends Season 11 Escape is right around the corner and we’re getting a ton of new content. From the larger map, Respawn has released for Apex Legends thus far, to a new weapon and Legend coming to games.

There’s a lot to take in, but don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. Let’s go over everything you need to know about Ash’s abilities, the new Stormpoint map, and the new CAR SMG.

A new challenger: Ash

Let’s start with Ash. If you want a full breakdown of Ash’s story and history, I have a recap video that you can watch above.

In terms of abilities, Ash largely reflects the abilities of a Titan from Titanfall. Her “Arc Snare” tactic has her launch a projectile that hits enemies and ties them to the ground, reminiscent of the Northstar Titan’s ability. Ash’s tactic requires you to be extremely precise with how you deploy it. If you throw him on the ground next to your enemy, he must be close enough to the enemy to catch him on the leash.

The best option is to hit the enemy in the body with the trap to catch them for the stun damage. The trap also only lasts for a few seconds on its surface if it doesn’t stick to anyone, so accuracy is key to your tactic. A player caught in the trap can run in the opposite direction quickly to break it.

Ash’s passive, “Marked for Death”, reveals death boxes on the map every time a player dies, but he also has another passive that allows him to throw a Dataknife into a death box to find where the assassin squad is. This is potentially one of Ash’s strongest abilities. Note that you can only use this ability once per tile and the tracking only pings the enemy’s location like a manual player ping, so it is not constantly tracked.

Ash’s ultimate “Phase Breach” recalls his Titan Ronin’s ability and allows him to open a portal up to 70 feet ahead and instantly teleport her to the other side. This can be used horizontally or vertically. Unlike Wraith’s portal, where the portal opens on two sides and can be taken from either side, Ash’s portal is more offensive-based and helps open fights or even quickly escape intense situations in which she is trapped. .

The portal only lasts for a few seconds, so Ash’s teammates can take the portal after it is placed, but again, it cannot be retrieved.

Ash’s abilities make her an extremely aggressive Legend that allows her to open fights for her teammates and give her more survivability as a solo Legend if her teammates are killed. Include cooldowns.

Welcome to paradise – Stormpoint

The new map, Stormpoint, is the largest Apex has seen so far and there is a lot to explore within it. The map is located on a tropical island that has varying degrees of elevation and transportation. Tridents are available on this map, as well as new gravity cannons (similar to Halo’s) that launch you through the air to cover some ground.

You can use skills and weapons when traveling through the air in the Canons, but be careful, as the Canons make a lot of noise when you enter and can alert enemies to your rotations. There’s the return of the Marauders, the animals you see when you start Trials at World’s Edge, and the new Marauder nests where they will constantly spawn.

Throughout the map, there are also spider eggs that hang from the walls and ceilings of caves or tunnels. These won’t drop spiders on you until they’ve been shot at them, so you have the option to avoid these enemies entirely. These new wildlife additions will drop loot-like props and ammo and do some damage to your Evo Shield.

Stormpoint is about 15% larger than World’s Edge and the first few rotations will be important as there is more area to cover. This season’s map rotations will be Stormpoint and World’s Edge, which also applies to Ranked Playlist. There are plenty of unnamed POIs full of loot, so you won’t have to fight too long to find your cargo.

New weapon: CAR SMG

Speaking of equipment, there have been some weapon changes and a new one has been added to the loot pool. The CAR SMG is a fan favorite for Titanfall and enters Apex with some changes from previous games.

The CAR can use heavy or light ammunition and can switch between the two at any time. The CAR will automatically switch to whatever ammo you have left when the other one runs out. The CAR can also accept any heavy or light attachments, so you can use the Tier 3 heavy magazine but also the light ammo magazine. It has an incredibly high rate of fire and is most effective in close range fights.

Weapon changes

The G7 Scout has been included in the Care Package with the option for Double Tap shooting mode enabled and slight improvements. Damage output for the G7 has also been increased from 34 to 36. Triple Take is now back in ground loot and now requires energy ammo as it is no longer considered a sniper. The EVA-8 has been re-nerfed this time to preseason 10 changes, so the rate of fire has been reduced from 2.1 to 2.0.

The L-Star is also getting some nerfs to balance out last season’s benefits. The L-Star’s barrel effectiveness has been reduced at all rarity levels, the sizes of the fired projectiles are smaller (to avoid blinding), and the damage has been reduced from 18 to 17.

There is also a new jump called Dual-Shell that cuts the reload time in half for the Mastiff and the 30-30 Repeater as it reloads two projectiles at once.

Classification changes

For competitive players, there have been some changes to the ranking system, but nothing major. Kill ranked point values will now take into account the player’s ranks. So if a Platinum player queued up with their fellow Diamond and is now in Diamond rated games and kills a Diamond player, the Platinum player will receive more RP.

Players killed by lower ranked players will not lose any more points when killed, only the killer benefits from the modifier.

Apex Predators and Masters players now receive the same treatment. The Kill RP cap will be increased from six to seven, but must still be placed first to get the maximum total RP. Kill Point’s maximum RP limit is 175, which does not include the placement RP bonus you would get for getting higher in a game.

Additional changes

Starting in Season 11, you will be able to use 50 crafting materials to upgrade your white shield to a blue shield (level 2). The value has been changed so that you can create more levels immediately. The armor level points you can create have also increased from 100 to 150.

Another adjustment players will be happy with is that Wattson is getting better this season. Wattson’s hitbox has been slightly increased to compensate for the removal of the low profile from the Legacy update. Your fence’s cooldowns have been cut in half and you can place them 50% further away and slightly faster. Crossing Wattson’s fences will be more punishing, as the damage done by a fence is increased by 33%.

Hurdles now activate a bit faster when a teammate goes through one. Wattson’s latest interception pylon will have a health reserve, similar to how Lifeline’s drone works. His ultimate shield health pool is 250 shields that can be delivered to nearby players, and the shield recharge rate has been increased by 150%.

Your pylon will also last forever and will not run out after 90 seconds. But once its shield health pool is depleted, it will no longer recharge shields, although it will continue to destroy incoming ordinances. As a balance, Wattson can only have one of his ultimate pylons at a time instead of three now.
