There is no doubt about that now; the change is in the air and the fall has all its force. Time to step inside, sit by the fireplace, and immerse yourself in some independent tales. As we move into November, it’s not just the leftover Halloween candy we’re eager to get our hands on. The recent news from one of the biggest developers on the scene makes us feel warm to our toes, the indies are in a new phase and, moreover, we are making positive progress in game releases.


Piling up the big news

Fall is all about transformation, but who would have known that Stardew Valley developer Eric Barone aka ConcernedApe would get so immersed in the spirit by revealing the first real details of his follow-up title? And that’s not all. Thunderful Games is presenting their debut digital presentation, and Mark Hamill is the host!

The Haunted Chocolatier by ConcernedApe

Eric Barone, creator of Stardew Valley, took the vibe from his well-known work and poured it into a new mold, revealed his next project, and it’s full of chocolate, ghosts, and combat. “You can be sure I’m not ‘copying and pasting’ the Stardew match,” says Barone in a recent blog post. “On the contrary, almost everything in Haunted Chocolatier, including combat, is completely coded (and drawn) from scratch.” The game is in early development and has no release date.

Thunder World

On November 10, developer and publisher Thunderful, who has worked on titles like Lost in Random, will hold their first ever indie games exhibition featuring Star Wars actor Mark Hamill acts as host. The virtual curtain rises at 11 a.m. M. PT, and while we expect The Gunk to make an appearance, Thunderful also promises “world premiere game reveals.”

You choose one of five players and embark on a 2D side scrolling adventure through the Amazon that will never be the same twice. However, there are a surprising number of things to fight against in this impressive rainforest, so watch your steps.

Demon Turf bills itself as “The 3D platformer with attitude.” Playing as Beebz, a demon who considers himself young even though he is 1000 years old, you will fight your way through the unique-looking Demon World in an attempt to fight for the title of Demon King’s main boss. Demon Turf will be released on November 4.

The Binding Of Isaac: Repentance

Available now for PC, The Binding of Isaac: Repentance will make its console debut on Microsoft platforms on November 4 and will arrive on PlayStation and Switch in the near future. The latest expansion to Edmund McMillen’s hit roguelike will add new story elements, enemies, locations, and more. Choosing the latest edition on Xbox will also provide you with all previous DLC content for the game.

To the rescue!

However, the game will still launch on PC on November 11.
