KartRider: Drift returns to the tracks this December with a new closed beta event

Hello runners! It’s been a long time since our last closed beta, but we’re about to get started with the latest version of this epic kart racing game coming to Xbox One in December. As a review, KartRider: Drift is the only free cross-platform racing title with deep characters and kart customization systems.

For those new to the franchise, KartRider: Drift It is the latest generation of the KartRider franchise, inheriting the fun and kart racing mechanics of the original Crazyracing KartRider. While keeping the nostalgia alive, this new title features next-gen graphics using Unreal Engine 4 along with improved game systems with support for cross-play and cross-progression. In this upcoming closed beta, you will be able to play with racers from all over the world in real time.

What’s new in closed beta 3?

Quite a bit, actually! You will discover new maps, new functions, new skins, new characters, new karts and more. Veteran fans will also see many improvements made to existing modes and mechanics, including Object Mode and Speed ​​Mode.

In Item mode, you can collect and use over 15 different items to attack, defend, and even support your allies in team races. Alternatively, for players who enjoy fast-paced competitive racing, be sure to check out Speed ​​Mode, where skillful drifting will help you fill up your momentum gauge to blast off ahead of other karts and claim victory.

Customize your kart and racer and hit the road in style

One of the biggest new features we can’t wait for you to experience is the decorating system. Imagine being able to customize your kart’s color, pattern, wraps, and decals to create your own unique design. We provide some existing designs for reference, but we really want you to take advantage of the decals to find your perfect style and create a sharing-worthy UGC.

We’re also excited to introduce you to some new karts (it IS a kart racing game after all), including Brutus, Justice, Saber, Spider, and Storm … that look as amazing as they sound! And it is also a good name for kittens.

But what good is a sweet new ride without a superstar driver behind the wheel? In addition to the current cast of characters, KartRider: Drift introduces you to the mysterious Neo (not that one), the fearsome Rex, and the selfie queen Marid in Closed Beta 3.

Lastly, you’ll discover 15 new tracks in addition to the 16 existing tracks that beta participants have previously viewed.
