KAIF Fight Night postponed – Lübeck boxer John Bielenberg has to be patient

On November 20, the ring bell should ring again for the Lübeck boxer John Bielenberg (18). The KAIF Fight Night, hosted by boxing promoter Alexander Petkovic (Petko`s Boxing) in the posh Infinity Hotel in Munich, promised a worthy setting, including the main fight for the WBF Intercontinental light heavyweight title. But now the fighters have to be patient: Because of Corona, the organizer postponed the boxing evening.

The new date has not yet been set

Bielenberg would have boxed again at the KAIF Fight Night for the first time since his victorious fight for the International German Championship against Evgenij Melzer (September 4th). With the Hungarian Gabor Kovacs his opponent was already determined, Bielenberg was preparing for his opponent at the training camp in Hamburg. Like his promoter, he has to reschedule in the short term.

Some boxers were not vaccinated, so Petkovic when asked by Lübecker Nachrichten about the reasons for the postponement, and the estimated number of spectators due to the 2G regulation (recovered or vaccinated) that applies to public events in Bavaria does not correspond to the effort. “We have agreed with the health department to postpone the fight night.” Petkovic plans to reschedule the event next year – of course with John Bielenberg from Lübeck.
