New World: Twitch Streamer Teaches 50 People How to Cheat in PvP – Getting Caught

There is excitement at New World about a Twitch streamer: He showed his guild of 50 people how to exploit a bug that brings significant advantages in PvP. The accusation is: The players would have strengthened themselves significantly before a war. The streamer had only very poorly hidden what he was doing.

Which streamer is it about? The Twitch streamer is called “Gigameister”, it is a tiny streamer with 400 followers. When he streams, he has an average of 9 viewers. Gigameister streams in Portuguese and English.

Exploit brings 5% healing every 2.5 seconds

What do you accuse him of?

• There is a bug in New World that allows players to stack a passive healing bonus. The exploit was described in detail in the New World public forum more than two weeks ago: The bug ensures that you can use 5 specific foods that regenerate 1% life every 2.5 seconds. Because the effects can be stacked, you get 5% healing every 2.5 seconds (forum.newworld).
• As you can see in YouTube videos, the streamer explained this bug to his entire guild (via youtube). Before the war he then asked the members to throw in the food.
• The streamer is also said to have tried to cover up this scam. But he was very amateurish.

What did the streamer do to cover up the exploit? As a user explains on reddit, Gigameister has placed a Discord link in his stream in such a way that it is above the bar with the buff symbols (via reddit).

He is said to have banned anyone in the Twitch chat who made him aware of what was going on.

In addition, members of his guild are said to have also streamed while they exploited the bug and he is said to have been blown while he was fiddling with his hotbar.

In a statement that was sent to us on MeinMMO by a German friend of Gigameister: The streamer does not admit that he used the exploit. All evidence presented is controversial and defamatory.

One should wait until Amazon decides who from both sides was involved in the war and who took advantage of the “so-called exploit”.

The acquaintance also said that Gigameister had nothing to do with the benefits of the exploit. The explanation of how the exploit works exactly was given by an acquaintance of the guild.
