Finally back: The FELIX Awards have been honoring athletes from North Rhine-Westphalia who have distinguished themselves in a special way for more than ten years. Due to the pandemic, the prizes will not be presented to the winners at a gala this year, but in person by the organizers and partners of the FELIX Champions Awards.

All interested citizens are invited to take until November 30th www.nrw-sportlerdesjahres.de vote for their respective favorites. We are once again looking for the best female and male athlete, the best team, the most outstanding newcomers, the best in para-sport and the best footballer of the past sporting year. They all come from North Rhine-Westphalia and were able to qualify thanks to their exceptional performance. Some of the nominees are among the more than 140 athletes from North Rhine-Westphalia who contributed to the overall results of Team Germany at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo this summer. Others have drawn attention to themselves in sporting competitions beyond the Olympics.

With the FELIX Champions Awards, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the State Sports Association of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Sports Foundation of North Rhine-Westphalia honor top-class sport and outstanding personalities.
