What are the Golden Joystick Awards? Since 1983, prizes for games and gaming have been presented every year at the Golden Joystick Awards. Voting takes place online and anyone can participate. In 2021, the ceremony took place on November 23rd.
The whole thing was presented by the actors Nolan North and Emily Rose, who play the characters Nathan Drake and Elena Fisher in the Uncharted series.
In addition to the best games in various genres, there are also prizes on fundamental topics such as the best storytelling or hardware. There was an interesting new category there in 2021.

What else was awarded? The Ultimate Game of the Year (and best PS5 game) was Resident Evil Village, while Hitman 3 became the best PC game. Psychonauts 2 won the prize for the Xbox and the mobile LoL Wild Rift is the best mobile game in 2021. The top game of all time is Dark Souls, by the way.
The best studio in 2021 is Capcom, which is also where Resident Evil comes from. The award for the best actress that Maggie Robertson received for her performance as the vampire lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village also fits in with this.
