World War 3: Closed Beta starts on November 25th, plan to switch to a free-to-play distribution model

As reported by My.Games, the tactical online shooter World War 3 developed by The Farm 51 will enter the closed beta phase on November 25th. So that all players can start on time for the start of the closed beta, which is expected to run until March 2022, the publisher recommends the preload, which is possible from today. At the same time it is announced that the sales model will be switched to “free-to-play” at the start of the open beta.

The multiplayer action developed by the Get-Even creators (4Players.de rating: 85%) relies on realistic elements in the areas of ballistics and physics as well as team-based disputes on maps that are based on real locations such as Warsaw, Berlin or Moscow orientate. After the success of the so-called “Veteran Alpha Test” in September, World War 3 would like to present itself to an even larger audience with its tactical action and enriched with a large number of optimizations, including performance.

The closed beta is available to all players who own any of the pre-order packs for World War 3 or who purchased the title during the original Early Access release (i.e. any purchase made before October 4, 2021). As it goes on, the early access veterans also receive a thank you for their support in the form of an exclusive item pack and a lieutenant pack with a total value of 43.99 euros. These can be requested by players on the official site by logging into their Steam account.
