LoL: The characters from Arcane will be champions in the game

Some of the characters from the Arcane series are likely to become heroes in League of Legends in the future. The team “is looking forward to” making this possible.

The animation series “Arcane” hit like a bomb. Not only LoL players are enthusiastic, many viewers who have never had anything to do with League of Legends were also able to get carried away by the series. But one question kept coming to the fore, especially with the players: Will we see some of the characters in League of Legends soon? The developers gave an initial answer to this – and it should be a pleasure.

What was said In a Reddit post about the “Sentinels of Light” event, the question arose whether the two upcoming characters at the beginning of 2022 (ADC and support) could have something to do with the Arcane series. That was directly denied by Ryan Mireles, the “Lead Champion Producer”. However, there was positive news immediately afterwards: The team is looking forward to bringing characters from Arcane. More precisely it says in the Subreddit von LoL:

[…] As strong as the series was received by so many players, the Champions team is excited to explore future characters from Arcane who would make sense for a MOBA.

Many would want Mel Medarda as a character in LoL.

Which characters could that be? That’s a good question. Because a special feature of Arcane was that all characters were worked out so extensively that as a non-LoL player you could not tell which of the characters was already featured in the MOBA. The newly introduced characters were designed so extensively that they could easily have originated in the game.

That in turn leads to a pretty solid list of characters that the LoL makers could fall back on. Possible would be:

  • Mel Medarda
  • Ambessa Medarda
  • Deckard
  • Silco
  • Mylo
  • Claggor
  • Marcus
  • Finn
  • Bolbok

Keep in mind, however, that some of these characters are also no longer alive, which then drastically reduces the likelihood. It seems much more likely that living characters will make it into the game.

When could the characters come? There is no specific date for this yet. However, nobody should expect the implementation to take place in the next few months. Riot usually plans the characters six months or more in advance.

So maybe we’ll see the first Arcane surprise in the second half of 2022, when a character makes their way into the League of Legends. And then it might not be that far away before fans can finally watch a second season of the series …
