New World: The best build for solo players who like to be completely alone

New World basically only relies on group content in the endgame. Regardless of whether it is wars, outpost storms, dungeons or farm trains: you will always be on the move with other players. But you can do the level process or the daily quests on your own. We at MeinMMO would therefore like to introduce you to a build especially for solo players.

What is this about? You can do the leveling process and some small tasks on your own in New World. The opponents are not always easy, but due to the different faction tasks and the problem of collecting raw materials, it is even fun when you roam through Aeternum alone.

It’s not for nothing that MeinMMO editor Mark Sellner disturbs fellow players in New World.

In this guide, we would like to introduce you to a really strong build for solo players with which you are guaranteed to have no problem in the open world. We explain which weapons, equipment and skills you should use.

If you are looking for strong group or PvP builds, you will find it here:

The hatchet and life staff constantly ensure your survival

Which weapons are used? In this build you rely on the hatchet and life staff.

The hatchet is ideal because it combines a lot of damage with some survival skills. The Berserker ability gives you protection from CC and health point regeneration in the later course of the game. A passive effect also prevents you from dying and instead makes you invulnerable for 3 seconds.

The life stick, in turn, brings a lot of healing with it. With it you can save yourself in difficult fights and also reduce the “waiting time” between two fights. Instead of eating and getting your life back, you can just spam healing skills.

I myself used the hatchet during my entire level phase and switched between war ax and life staff, depending on whether more damage or healing was needed in an elite area.

How do I distribute the attributes? There are two different options:

  • I myself play with 100 on constitution for extra health and the rest on strength for extra damage
  • However, some players also rely on 100 constitution and the rest in concentration for more healing with the life wand

Which skills do I use with the hatchet?

  • Berserker
  • Wild rush
  • Thundering floods

In the first levels you will skill at the ax “Berserker” and then you will follow the berserker line on the first levels to skill the passive effects “On the hunt” and “Berserker refreshment”. This increases your movement speed and regenerates life points in berserk mode.

You unlock the Wild Onslaught next. You use this to jump at enemies who are not directly next to you. Thundering floods, the third ability, does a lot of damage and increases your movement speed afterwards.

Then you first continue to skill the skills and then the passive effects around it. The last passive in particular – Defying Death – is an important skill because it makes you invulnerable.

You then distribute the last points in the second tree “Litter” to increase your crit chance.

Which skills do I use with the life stick?

  • Blessed ground
  • Protective sphere
  • Leuchtfeuer

You should use your first skill points in the Protector skill tree. There you unlock the skills “Protective Sphere”. At weapon level 2 you activate the passive effect Absolution from the healer tree, so that you no longer pay mana for attacks. Then you unlock the ability “Blessed Ground”.

The last thing you get is the Beacon skill. The special thing about this build is that you don’t unlock any of the last skills in the skill trees. Both rely on the healing of fellow players, but the build focuses on you being alone in the world.

Therefore, you focus on many passive effects that make your life easier. These include effects like “Touch of the Protector”, which protects you from damage when attacking enemies, or “Balance”, which gives you movement speed when you drop below 50% health.

New World Build Life Stick Beginners
The life stick in the endgame.

What does the equipment look like? Basically you have two options here:

  • The light armor increases your damage, your healing and you can do a bigger evasive role
  • The heavy armor, on the other hand, gives you a lot of defense, but you almost completely lose your evasive role

If you like to actively avoid attacks and also want to use the evasion for faster movement, you should rely on light armor. This usually works quite well in solo play as well.

Complete beginners and those who don’t like movement, on the other hand, should go completely on heavy armor. So you can take a lot more.

The intermediate solution with medium armor is not worthwhile, since you forfeit both advantages – the mobility or the damage reduction – and you don’t really get a suitable, new advantage in return.

What is the rotation of skills like? Very simple.

You open the fight with the berserker, use a wild rush to jump at the enemy and then use roaring floods. Then attack with 3 light attacks to get the buff “Empowerment”.

Now it all depends on your life points:

  • If you have enough, then you use roaring floods and light attacks again until the enemy is defeated
  • If you get a lot of damage yourself, you switch to the life stick. There you use Blessed Ground (if you use CTRL + Blessed Ground directly, then it lands right below you) and then beacon, as this causes damage to the enemy and heals you passively in the future.
  • Then you can use the protective sphere if you still get too much damage or switch back to the hatchet and start over.

Who is the build for? The build is aimed at solo players who want to explore the world alone and cope with most challenges without help, and complete beginners who want to deal with the MMO in peace.
