Riot announces 8 nerfs for LoL – A champ is targeted with patch 11.24
Riot Games has announced that it will turn the balance in League of Legends with the 11.24 patch. You are dissatisfied with some runes and items in LoL that you recognized as “too strong” in the pre-season 2022. The top laner Camille also hits the nerf hammer.
This is the situation:
- League of Legends is currently “between the years”, a somewhat crazy time when one season is over but the other has not yet started. In the pre-season period, you don’t take the balance very seriously, you sometimes try out crazy concepts.

What’s the problem with Camille? Camille was already a strong pick for the top lane anyway. In the pre-season, however, the LoL tinkerers discovered new builds for them and are now using “Ignite” instead of the standard “Flash” skill for them.
In addition, there were system changes to the kites. Overall, that has made the heroine so strong in the top lane. One reason is the fencer’s high mobility
So Camille will get nerfs in patch 11.24. What exactly they look like is not yet known. RiotPhlox only announced in the preview what you want to weaken, what just adjust and what you want to strengthen.
What else is nerfed? The Keystone “Predator” is nerfed, a rune in LoL that gives bonus speed. It also hits the rune “Glacial Augment”, which can slow down opponents.
Apparently, mobility and slowing down in LoL are the big keys to successful killing.
As Dotesports knows, “Predator” has always been too dominant in LoL and the rune of choice for many. “Glacial Augment” has only recently become more popular and is seen as so strong that the rune is urgently needed. Apparently LoL wants to create more variety here.
In addition, three mythical and one legendary items are nerfed, which are apparently seen as too strong.
As Dotesports says, Crown of the Shattered Queen and Evenshroud have ensured that other mythical items are rarely used by tank and mages. The Frostfire Gauntlet have a strong synergy with the rune “Glacial Augment” – and Cosmic Drive is another speed buff item that causes problems.
In addition, the “Dragon Soul” is said to be nerfed by the Chemtech Dragon. This is a buff that has been found to be problematic. Players can use it to revive themselves for a short time after their death, like the Champ Sion. But then apparently they run amok and kill wildly. That is apparently not intended.
