New World today brings new Patch 1.1.1 – Patch Notes and Maintenance Work

Today, December 1st, 2021, the new patch 1.1.1 will be released in New World. This mainly brings bug fixes and reduces the number of drops of particles in elementary opponents. In addition, the update comes with maintenance work. We at MeinMMO summarize the patch notes and everything about the server down for you.

What are the highlights of the update? Patch 1.1.1 is a rather small update and does not bring any new content. Instead, it addresses a few issues:

  • Elemental opponents accidentally dropped too many elemental particles. The number has been reduced and the particles can no longer be obtained when dismantling elemental enemies.
  • Players who lost their harvesting equipment in patch 1.1 will now receive chests containing the lost set.
  • Trading, moving and dismantling furniture is now possible again.
  • The experience points for the jewel cutting profession have been increased because there was a bug there after patch 1.1.
  • Bugs in the new weapon Doomsday Gauntlets have been fixed.
  • Improvements have been made to the server and the server merges have been prepared.

When will patch 1.1.1 appear? The new update will be released today at 8:00 a.m. German time.

The servers receive maintenance together with the update. According to the current status, this should last 3 hours, i.e. until 11:00 a.m.

Should there be an extension of the server down, we will keep you up to date in this news here.

New World Patch 1.1.1 – Die kompletten Patch Notes

Particles from elemental opponents

  • Fixed a bug that caused elementals to drop a large amount of particles.
  • We have also removed elemental particles as a reward for collecting elemental creatures and reduced the amount of other resources they received. It’s a reaction to their number in the world and how often they respawn. Originally, these creatures were supposed to be challenging and rare encounters in the world. In practice, however, they were less dangerous and more common than planned, which resulted in them providing too many raw materials compared to primary sources such as elemental plants and stones.

Missing gardening equipment

In the last update, a bug crept in that caused all ranks of the gardener harvesting equipment in the game to be classified as upcoming content and accidentally removed from the game. We apologize for this mistake that caused you to lose legitimately earned items. If you were affected and lost some of the Harvester armor, you should have an additional reward chest in your inventory after this update.

It contains a full set of the gardener’s armor of the highest rank that you have personally achieved so far for part of the Harvester set. The items also have the maximum armor value for this rank and can be used at any level so that you can equip them safely. Like the other pieces of Harvester Armor that can be found normally, they are marked as “Bound when Equipped”. When you open the chest, you will find 5 items in it:

  • Harvester hat
  • Harvester shirt
  • Harvester gloves
  • Harvester pants
  • Harvester shoes

habitation

  • Trading, moving and dismantling furniture / dwelling objects is possible again.

Manufacturing

  • Fixed a bug where Jewelcraft Crafting Plans did not earn enough XP for Trade Skills.
  • Recently, we’ve reduced the amount of Tradability XP by crafting items of lower rank when players reach a new base rank in an ability. With metal, for example, players who unlock steel plans earn less for making iron plans. In doing so, we wanted to put a stronger focus on crafting higher-level items as we progress in trading skills, and also make higher-level materials more valuable. We want to reward players as they advance in the individual trading skills for making higher-ranking items. Prior to this change, we felt that players were spending too much time crafting lower-tier items instead of increasing their trading skills by crafting items that they could actually use at their current level.

General bug fixes

  • Doom Gauntlets: Fixed a bug that prevented the cooldown time for “Void” from starting if players switched weapons at the start of the ability
  • Doom Gauntlets: Fixed a bug that caused status effects of consumables to be deleted by “Void”
  • Fixed a bug that prevented Jewelcrafting from getting the correct amount of XP for higher-level crafting
  • Fixed a bug that prevented players from being able to earn the Lumberjack achievement
