We talk to the boss of Vanion about the end of the biggest German fansite for WoW

With Vanion, a legendary WoW fansite closed its doors 4 months ago. The head of the site, Andi, now speaks to us on the MeinMMO podcast about his experiences and reasons.

What do you do as a fan when your favorite game only delivers bad news? What happens when the passion for a game sinks to a low point? With this and many other questions we speak to the operator of Vanion, Andi.

Last year WoW was not in a gracious mood. Harsh criticism of the add-on Shadowlands and the sexism scandal surrounding Activision Blizzard have worsened the atmosphere around the MMORPG. Always delivering bad news can put a damper on the mood.

Andi expresses his view of the situation, his wishes and also talks about new projects in the podcast. In the past few months he has not only sat around, but has dared to take on new challenges.

Together with him are the editor-in-chief of MeinMMO, Leya Jankowski, and editor-in-chief Gerd Schuhmann.

The podcast is currently being approved for iTunes and Spotify. As soon as it is done, the links here will be added accordingly.
