Halo Infinite review: it was worth the wait

But there are also some points of criticism that make the shooter just miss perfection. So let’s take a closer look at the ratings.

Halo Infinite in the international ranking

Halo Infinite is currently hovering around the 70s to 90s. On Metacritic, the version of the Xbox Series X is currently at 87 (69 reviews) and the PC version (15 reviews) at 82. The Metascore at OpenCritic (73 reviews) is at 86.

What is well received, what is criticized?

The best thing about Halo Infinite is that outstanding gunplay, the varied maps and the creative opponent design. The presentation is also well received with good graphics, a great soundtrack and successful synchronization.

IGN’s tester Ryan McCaffrey writes:

However, in the end it is not enough to achieve perfection. Not only The co-op mode and the level editor are missing for the release, the Battle Pass is also quite tough and the story is quite confusing for beginners.

Tester Mansoor Mithaiwala from Screen Rant currently gives the lowest rating with a 70 and justifies this with the unfinished character of Halo Infinite:

It is believable that Halo Infinite will eventually define a new era, one that will reestablish Halo as the dominant shooter franchise, but it’s not there yet and it’s hard to say when it will happen.

Will you get Halo for the December 8th release? Are you still waiting for the co-op mode or do you completely forego the new part? Let us know in the comments!
