Last opportunity: CoD Warzone says goodbye to the old map with 3 live events and double XP

“Goodbye, Verdansk” – the beloved release map of Call of Duty: Warzone is celebrating its farewell tonight and the free Battle Royale entices with 3 live events, gifts and double XP.

On the morning of December 8th, more precisely at 6 a.m., the Call of Duty: Warzone shuts down its servers and is preparing for the release of the new map: the Pacific volcanic island of Caldera.

And although it was about time that a new large map appeared in the free Battle Royale: One or the other will certainly miss the old map a little.

To make the farewell a little easier, Warzone is sweetening the last hours and the last matches in Verdansk with a delicious package of interesting live events, small gifts and a mode with double XP.

3 Live-Events bis zum Server-Down

Warzone will go into a 12-hour server down at 6:00 tomorrow morning to bring the new map into play. Until then, a total of 3 live events will be online:

• Operation: Flashback – Crazy mode packed with old events
• Secrets of the Pacific – Cosmetics Event: Visited Places in Verdansk
• Last Hours of Verdansk – Battle Royale with a special ending

Operation: Flashback: A normal battle royale with teams of four. However, only the rules are normal, the process of the match is completely crazy.

The developers put almost all events, items and surgical weapons in this mode and looked to see if something like that could be fun. And indeed – Operation: Flashback is a fantastic event mode with a lot of dynamism, chance and unfair OP strategies:

Secrets of the Pacific: This is the first joint event with the new CoD: Vanguard. The event requires you to visit a total of 6 locations on the old map and for every success there is a thematic cosmetic that gets in the mood for the new Warzone map.

The tasks are ideal for taking a nice big round through the city of Verdansk and remembering long-forgotten gameplay highlights. If you visit all 6 places, there is also a blueprint for the STG 44. Here are the solutions:

Last Hours of Verdansk: The last event mode to say goodbye to Verdansk is a special Battle Royale with different rules of victory. You don’t fight for total victory over all opponents, but from a certain point in the match you have to capture a flag.

Start the mode at least once – you get a cool farewell business card from Verdansk and if you win, there is another card for the “final winner”. In addition, the mode offers you double XP on your weapons and the Battle Pass.

Verdansk was a strong map for the release of the Warzone and has been with us for over 1.5 years. Signs of wear and tear could no longer be denied, but the card still offered a lot of action and variety.
