Call of Duty Warzone takes us to the Pacific on the new map Caldera and it starts tomorrow.

Call of Duty Warzone is facing big changes: The name changes to Warzone: Pacific, the old Verdansk map disappears completely and we get a completely new map with Caldera. It will be launched tomorrow together with Season 1 in Call of Duty Vanguard and will also include the integration of the game in the free Battle Royale offshoot. This is what it’s about: Call of Duty Vanguard will be integrated into CoD Warzone, as was the case with Modern Warfare and Black Ops: Cold War. This time, however, major changes are due: the graphics engine is changed, the setting brings a completely new map and new weapons, the old map disappears completely and airplanes also come into play.

Everything about the launch of the new Pacific Map Caldera: start, time, preload & Co

When does it start? The new Pacific Map Caldera will be launched at the same time as Vanguard Season 1. Anyone who has bought Vanguard can start a day earlier, and those who only play the free Warzone have to be patient until the day after tomorrow.

  • December 8th: Season 1 starts and Vanguard owners can play the new Warzone map.
  • 9th of December: Everyone else can also play the new Warzone: Pacific Map Caldera

What time exactly?

  • December 8, 6 a.m.: Season 1 in Call of Duty Vanguard startet.
  • December 8th, 6 pm: The new Warzone: Pacific map is online and playable.
  • December 9, 6 p.m .: Anyone who has not bought Vanguard can also play Caldera.

When does the preload start? That is not yet certain, but we assume that this time there will again be the option to start downloading earlier in order to be able to start playing on time.

How big is the update? This is not yet known either, but we will update this overview article as soon as we know more.

Servers are temporarily down: In the course of the huge update with the new map and all the trimmings, the CoD Warzone servers will be offline for a while. That means you can’t play Warzone at all for a full 12 hours. The downtime extends from 6 a.m. on December 8th to 6 p.m.

CoD Warzone: Pacific – That brings the big update with the new map

It’s all there: In the new update, almost the entire game is turned inside out, you will hardly recognize Warzone afterwards. This is primarily due to the new setting in World War II with the corresponding weapons and vehicles, as well as the Caldera Pacific map, the completely new location.

Playlists und Vanguard Royale: When the new caldera map is ready to play, it will offer three different modes. The normal Battle Royale lumps everything together, but if you just want to focus on the new weapons and vehicles, Vanguard Royale is the place for you. Incidentally, Rebirth Island will be retained for the time being, so you can still play the small, fast modes there.
