The Witcher Season 2: New video shows Ciri in hard training, and she does it for a reason

Ciri actress Freya Allan is playing in the foreground in the upcoming Witcher season.

The second season of The Wichter Netflix series is just around the corner. To celebrate the upcoming premiere, the official Twitter account is currently regularly releasing new material for Season 2. Always at the forefront is Ciri, who played a smaller role behind Geralt and Yennefer in the first season. But that will probably change now.

Ciri unfolds her true potential

The first video shows Ciri during her training at the Witcher castle Kaer Morhen. Her teachers are not Geralt or Vesemir, but Lambert and Coen. That could be due to the series format, in which the main characters experience adventures at the same time – Geralt will probably be busy elsewhere. But even without her mentor, Ciri cuts a fine figure:

In another clip, Lambert shows his sadistic streak by sending Ciri onto a balance beam, over which heavy stakes are repeatedly knocked over. When Coen asked if he thought this was a good idea, he replied that they were just having a little fun:

Ciri’s path to becoming a fully fledged warrior will be one of the central elements in the second season of the Witcher. In the first season she already indicated her strength, but was mostly on the run. To what extent Ciri will intervene in the conflicts of the coming episodes remains to be seen. After all, the third season has already been confirmed. Here Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri could fight side by side.

Many critics have already seen some episodes of the second season. The ratings of the reviews differ a bit, but the keynote is that many weaknesses from the first season have been eliminated.
