New update 1.09 from CoD Vanguard repairs 13 maps and gives you more powerful sniper weapons

Call of Duty: Vanguard released the extensive update 1.09 on the evening of December 15th. There are many fixes for maps, adjustments to the weapons and revisions in zombie mode. The patch notes show you MeinMMO in German.

The World War II CoD Vanguard still suffers from some teething problems 6 weeks after its release. With the latest update 1.09, many bugs should be ironed out and broken challenges repaired.

CoD Vanguard: Update 1.09 – Patch Notes

When is the update coming? The patch 1.09 is already online.

How big is the update? Although the customizations are quite extensive, the download remains small. On the PlayStation, the update was barely more than 200 MB.

What has been changed? The developers split up the extensive patch notes: part multiplayer and part zombies. We now proceed in a similar way:

Multiplayer adjustments with update 1.09

What has changed in multiplayer? A lot of adjustments concern broken challenges that don’t correctly count progress. There are also buffs for sniper attachments and loads of repairs to the multiplayer maps:

Stability and season challenges

  • The deployment shield reliably blocks balls from the front again
  • “Firefight” blueprint had visual problems
  • Visors now work with the blueprint of the Kar 98k “Hunter incentive”
  • Drop barrel revolvers no longer jump around when reloading
  • Setups with 7-ball magazines now have ball reserves that are divisible by 7
  • Talismans are now easier to use and less buggy
  • Camo challenge of the double barreled shotgun shows the correct magazine attachment
  • Camo challenges on the STG44 and M1 Garand show correct progress
  • Kills for challenges in Warzone now also count in Vanguard
  • Panzerfaust challenge with the killstreaks now requires long-range kills

Balancing

  • Drop barrel revolver: Small caliber no longer reduces damage, but more loss of range
  • Gorenko sniper rifle: the standard sight no longer obscures the view when the bayonet is used
  • The bayonet together with the extra “striking distance” no longer has a super range
  • Mortar strike is easier to use and the device used to call does more damage
  • Kar 98k and Type 99 – Smaller calibers can now also kill opponents with a hit on the chest
    • We have tested the small bullets and recommend that you try out the Kar 98k’s 20-round magazine. Simple chest hit kills with 20 rounds in the magazine are very powerful.

  • Paradise
    • Out-of-Map-Exploits entfernt

  • Radar
    • Spawn adjustments so that you spawn less on enemies
    • Removed rendering issue that showed a lot of fog on the map for some
    • Weird flashing textures removed

    • Fixed bullet penetration on some walls
    • Fixed an issue with frag grenades that was damaging to walls

    • Fixed a bug where light effects followed the player over the whole map

    • Distracting and graphically incorrect shadows no longer appear under lights

    • A wall kept reappearing even though it was already broken
  • Demonic
    • The perks “Explosive Squad” and “Tactician” now work correctly on the map

Modi

  • Control is online as a new mode
  • Champion Hill Duos is now more stable and no longer crashes the game
  • The scoreboard and spectator mode now work in Champions Hill

  • There is no longer a crossplay bug when inviting players from other platforms
  • The progress indicators for a prestige promotion now work correctly
  • Incorrectly displayed prestige icons have been redesigned

Zombie adjustments with update 1.09

The list for the adjustments in zombie mode is also impressive and removes many errors from the game:

    • Better visibility in dark areas so that the control runes can be better collected
    • The progress bar no longer overlaps with other notifications
    • Professor Krafft is now also talking about completing a purge mission

Alliances

  • Brimstone
    • No longer deals damage when players are down
    • Only deals damage to zombies in the player’s line of sight
  • Dead Accurate
    • Rocket launchers now work correctly with the Alliance
  • Swift Vengeance
    • Description changed – only weapon damage is increased by the alliance
    • Knives now work correctly with the Alliance

weapons

  • Weapons from boxes now show the correct weapon model
  • The magazines of weapons from mystery boxes sometimes displayed the magazine incorrectly
  • There were problems with some crosshairs that prevented a player from loading into the match
  • Rocket launcher hits indicated false critical hits

Gameplay

  • The portal missions should now allow you to move to other locations more often
  • Removed exploits that players could use to protect themselves from zombie damage

The stately list removes a few annoying mistakes from the game. However, there are still some weapon options that are too powerful and various problems.
