Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Owners of the PS Plus version receive the PS5 version “Intergrade” free of charge

For the release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade in June 2021, Square Enix prepared a PS5 upgrade for all owners of the main game, which could be downloaded at no additional cost. Exceptions to this, however, were players who received Final Fantasy 7 Remake in March 2021 through their PlayStation Plus membership. Only those who actually bought the title had access to the PS5 upgrade. Square Enix announced via Twitter that, from December 22, 2021, the Intergrade update will also be free for players who only own the PS Plus version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

Starting this Wednesday…

The so-called intergrade version offers numerous improvements on the PlayStation 5. Among other things, the graphics have been optimized in many places. If you also value smoother gameplay, you can activate a mode for 60 frames per second in the settings. The loading times have also been significantly reduced. To celebrate the day, Square Enix is also offering the non-PS4 “Episode Intermission” starring Yuffie through January 7, 2022 at a 25 percent discount on PlayStation Store.
