You can play Dying Light 2 on almost any computer – unless you want high-end graphics

The shooter Dying Light 2 has announced its system requirements. And they are surprisingly low. But that only applies if you don’t want to use ray tracing. Because then the requirements increase sharply.

Dying Light 2 is a survival game from the first person perspective in which you can explore an open world that is based on Europe. The game relies on decisions that should have a strong impact on your game world. The shooter Dying Light 2 is also one of the most anticipated games on Steam for 2022. The game is due to be released on February 4th for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.

MeinMMO has already been able to try out how Dying Light 2 plays and it is above all the difficult decisions that will captivate you.

Now the manufacturer has also announced the system requirements for Dying Light 2 and they are surprisingly moderate.

Dying Light 2 system requirements are moderate

What do I need for a PC? If you want to play Dying Light 2 with at least 30 FPS in Full HD, you need an Intel Core i3-9100 or AMD Ryzen 3 2300X as a processor. There is also either an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or an AMD Radeon RX 560 4 GB.

If you look at the numbers Steam From November 2021 onwards, 4 graphics cards are currently installed in around 20 percent of all gaming PCs:

  • GeForce GTX 1060 (7,58%)
  • GeForce GTX 1650 (5,88%)
  • GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (5.73%)
  • GeForce RTX 2060 (5.07%)

With this, many gamers should definitely meet the minimum requirements. The 3 most common maps on Steam are on average faster than the GTX 1050 Ti and the GT 1050 Ti itself is installed in around 6% of all computers. That applies at least as long as you want to gamble on Full HD. If you prefer to gamble on WQHD, you need more power for the same performance.

Allegedly, many more gamers use Windows 11 than others – how come?

When do I need a powerful computer? If you are interested in all the details and in the new graphics technology ray tracing, then you need a strong graphics card. Ray tracing provides better lighting and makes the game look prettier and more realistic.

If you want to use this technology, however, then you need a correspondingly powerful graphics card. The developers recommend a GeForce RTX 3080 if you want to play on Full HD with 60 FPS.
