Pokémon GO: Community Day in January with Seemops and cool bonuses

The content for Community Day in January has now been announced in Pokémon GO. We at MeinMMO have taken a look at which monster will be the focus of this event and tell you what else to expect.

What kind of event is that? Every month there is a Community Day in Pokémon GO. This focuses on a specific Pokémon that spawns in the wild more frequently throughout the event. Your chances of getting a dazzling specimen are also increased on this day.

In addition, you will receive one or the other special bonus on this day. As Niantic has now announced on the Pokémon GO blog, C-Day in January will revolve around the ice and water Pokémon Seemops (via pokemongolive.com).

When does Community Day take place? Community Day will take place on Sunday, January 16, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.

Seemops is a Pokémon of the ice and water types. It comes from the 3rd generation of games and can be further developed into Walraisa via Seejong. Of course you can meet a lot of Seemops during Community Day.

You will find them on every corner and with the help of smoke and lure modules you can attract more of these monsters. In addition, your chances of encountering a dazzling specimen on this day are really good, because the shiny rate will also be increased during the event.

Seemops have only recently appeared in their dazzling form in the game, so it might be interesting for many players. You can recognize it, as you can see in the following picture, by its pink to lilac colored body.

What bonuses are there? Apart from the spawns and the increased shiny chance, the community has other bonuses in store for you:

• Smoke and lock modules each last 3 hours
• 3x XP catching Pokémon
• a surprise if you take snapshots during C-Day
• Event attacks “powder snow” (immediate attack) and “ice spear” (charging attack), if you develop Seemops via Seejong to Walraisa during the event or up to 2 hours afterwards

Special bonuses in the in-game shop: The in-game shop also has one or two special features ready for you for Community Day:

• Ticket for the special research “The Spheal Deal” on Seemops for 1 Euro
• Free event box with 30 hyperballs
• Community Day Box with 50 Hyperballs, 5 Super Incubators, 5 Lucky Eggs and a Top-Sofort-TM for 1,280 PokéCoins
