Elex 2: No paid DLC planned

The release of the Opend World role-playing game Elex 2 (from 41,99 at pre-order) takes a few months to come. Nevertheless, some fans are already wondering whether there might be any chargeable DLCs in the time after the launch. The answer to that now comes firsthand.

Jennifer and Bjrn Pankratz from the development studio Piranha Bytes did an interview with the magazine Twinfinite explains what the plans look like in this regard and what you think of the DLC topic in general. The statement was relatively clear: “In fact, we don’t really like DLC. We think that when people buy a game they should get everything we planned for it. Therefore, there are no plans for paid content after the launch of Elex 2. Of course, we will keep a close eye on how the game is received by the audience and provide the appropriate support. But we would prefer to be able to put our creative energy into another project soon. “

Piranha Bytes is not only rejecting paid DLCs for Elex 2, but also indicates that the team is already thinking about another project. Jennifer and Bjrn Pankratz did not reveal what it was about in the interview.

Elex 2 will be released on March 1, 2022 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S
