God of War: Ragnarök – Possible release date revealed in PlayStation database

Official information on the release date of Ragnarok is not yet available, but there is now a leak.

God of War 2: Ragnarök is one of the many games that were announced for the year 2021, but have long since slipped into the coming year. A more specific statement than “will appear in 2022” is still missing from the eagerly awaited PlayStation exclusive – at least as far as official information is concerned. A possible release date from the PlayStation database has now been leaked.

Possible release date in autumn

It’s all about this: After the extremely successful reboot of God of War in 2018, many fans are waiting impatiently to see how Kratos will continue in his new father role – in which he still finds enough time to beat up gods – in the sequel. The PlayStation Exclusive was postponed to 2022, but without a specific date or even a time window.

A leak now names a possible release date in autumn: Those responsible behind the Twitter account PlayStation Game Size have discovered new information in the PlayStation database according to their own information. There will be the 30. September 2022 named as an appointment. This is a Friday, one of the days of the week on which many games appear.

Be careful with the info: PlayStation Game Size has proven to be a reliable source of information in the past – as the name suggests, especially when it comes to game download sizes. But the tweet explains why we shouldn’t mark the day in red on the calendar: It could be one Act placeholders.

More from the God of War universe:

Even if that’s the case, the date mentioned could be an indication that a release is planned for autumn – after all, September 30 is the last possible day of the third quarter of the year. However, we will not find out whether this is the case until we are provided with official information. In addition, we should keep our fingers crossed that there will be no further delays due to Corona, because some studios are currently still struggling with the effects of the pandemic.

What do you think of the info? Did you expect a release in this period?
