CS: GO: Commentator yells “I am e-sports” in outburst against feminism
Counter-Strike: Globak-Offensive (Steam) has been boiling a topic for days: “Should women have their own esports leagues or not?” Well-known and established CS: GO commentators are talking hotly about it. The discussion had its high point (or low point) on December 28th, when CS: GO commentator Thorin exclaimed: He was e-sports! He built the industry and it still rests on his shoulders. If you want to have a “women’s league” without pursuing the idea of equal rights, then such a league is okay and he fully supports the idea. But why should women compete against men when they have the option to enjoy a guaranteed payday in a much weaker environment?
His colleague Thorin then defended Semmler after Christmas, was also criticized for it and it culminated in an outburst of anger with the sentence: “I am e-sports.”
What exactly does Thorin have said? Thorin got upset at length about women in esports and feminism.
He said that whenever you say something about “women in esports” you shouldn’t say anything if you are not a woman. Anyone who says something like him has to hate women and doesn’t want them in esports.
