CoD Warzone: Skin from the Battle Pass makes invisible – “It’s all over the map”
The free battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone has its next upset. A skin from the Battle Pass makes players invisible.
The essentials in brief:
- The mood in Call of Duty: Warzone is not rosy right now. There are a lot of mistakes, a crooked weapon balance, and the Christmas event pissed off players.
- With a Battle Pass you can earn many items in Battle Royale for around 10 € per season.
- The final reward from the Battle Pass is a skin for the new operator “Francis”. With the skin you can become partially or completely invisible.
“Awakened” skin partially or completely invisible
The broken cosmetic is Francis’ “Awakened” skin, which you get at level 100 of the Season 1 Battle Pass.
That this is the final Battle Pass reward is doubly annoying:
- The Battle Pass level 100 skin is played a lot each season
- Since the skin is in the Battle Pass, there is a suspicion of pay-to-win

The player in the video is lucky – in this case the skin can be seen through distortions in the image and the mask of the skin can also be seen. This way, the “invisible skin” can be done. However, there have also been reports that the skin may disappear completely.
The glitch is very inconsistent. Sometimes the mask can be seen, sometimes not. For some, the invisibility starts at a distance of almost 30 meters, for others at different distances.
As you can see in the video, you can make the skin visible again by zooming in. This probably only applies if the zoom strength of the visor is high enough. All very strange.
Will it stay that way? While there are players who suspect a pay-to-win aspect behind the broken skin, it is sure to be a glitch.
Although there is currently no entry in the Trello board of the developers for Warzone, the error will most likely go away soon (via trello.com). This is the board where the developers collect bugs that they are working on.
The first reports of the invisible nuisance appeared around the Christmas holidays in 2021. However, the developers were on vacation over the holidays and that’s probably the only reason why the glitch is still in the game.

What do players say about it? There have been many threads on the topic on the reddit discussion platform in the last few days.
Here and there there are comments that get very upset about it. However, the conversations about the skin generally read rather indifferently. Many are not surprised, but rather disappointed, in what state the Battle Royale Warzone is currently.

Last year, the development break over Christmas and New Year caused a sensation in Warzone. Around the Christmas holidays, players discovered the enormously overpowered DMR 14.
The single-shot weapon took over the weapon meta in a few days and is still considered a negative example when it comes to a misalignment of the meta in Warzone.
