When is the update coming? The patch is already online and available for download.

How big is the update? It’s just a small packet of data. The update loads on the consoles when the game starts.

What has changed? The developers at Raven Software have published the sparse patch notes on Twitter. There are 4 entries in total:

  • Gameplay
    • In the Vanguard modes, the shot sale event now lasts as long as the circle cycle in which the event started.
  • Bugfixes
    • Fixed issues with collision on Caldera that players could take advantage of

In addition, the developers have addressed other things and updated their Trello board (via trello.com). The Warzone makers collect bugs on the board and work on them. Among others:

Player disappointed with the first update in 2022

How is the patch received by the players? There are many unsatisfied comments below the tweet about the patch. After the long update break, expectations were higher in some areas. The last update came on December 19th.

  • @jakeheasman on Twitter Regarding the scope of the patch: “Cool, so you solved 1 out of 100 problems that people are currently worried about.”
  • @intheboombox auf Twitter on the shot sale change: “You have lost contact with the players, […] if you let the shot sale take longer. It shouldn’t start in every match, and it definitely shouldn’t run as long as it did before. And now you want it to go longer? “
  • @Sarang_srv on Twitter Regarding the stability of Warzone: “I have not been able to start the game for 10 days.”

One often reads about problems with the multiplayer of Modern Warfare. Occasionally, players just wish the developer a Happy New Year.

The list of problems in Warzone is long and the developers are still working on solutions. However, the current state is a major annoyance for many players and the hope for further updates in the next few days is palpable.

In any case, movement came into play on the cheater front. It was recently announced that Activision is suing a major German cheat provider – EngineOwning.
