Zephyr Pro, Project Hazel inspired Razer RGB light mask debuts voice amplification of up to 60 dB

Last year around this time, Razer introduced the striking concept of smart mask Project Hazel, a product that later hit stores under the name of Zephyr, even if on the way he lost the built-in speaker.

Fortunately, for those who missed this distinctive feature, Razer took advantage of the spotlight at CES 2022 to announce the Zephyr Pro, an evolution of the original mask with microphone and speakers.

A Zephyr more like the initial concept

Razer’s new smart mask looks virtually identical to the original. Has a replaceable N95 grade filter on each side, highlighted with RGB lights that allow the user to set the desired color.

The device also has iindoor led lighting so that the face remains visible through the transparent part and is easier to read the lips and an adjustable silicone gasket.

The company notes that the device also has a exchange chamber with two-speed adjustable fans that allow filtered air to flow comfortably inside.

However, the star feature of the Razer Zephyr Pro is its new voice amplification system. This is made up of a microphone and two speakers located at the bottom of the device, just below the filters.

Through a side button located on the silicone casing, the new function can be activated that will allow amplify the voice by 60 decibels within the range of one meter.

Razer Zephyr Pro 2

Razer intended to incorporate the speaker into the original version of the Zephyr, but that feature was removed due to its weight and battery. However, the company claims that it has solved this problem with the Zephyr Pro.
