Aloy and the mechanical beings aren’t the only residents of the Forbidden West.

The new year starts just like the old one ended, namely with a video Horizon Forbidden West. Guerrilla has on the PlayStation-Blog publishes another video that is not designed for action as usual, but rather is dedicated to the inhabitants of the Forbidden West and their customs.

No matter which region Aloy goes to, new alliances and deadly enemies await them everywhere. The tribes are characterized by their individual characteristics, just like the areas in which they live.

The following tribes and areas can be seen in the video:

  • Border settlements of the skilled Oseram
  • Border settlements of the Oseram in their protected city
  • Corrupted fields of the nature-loving Utaru in purity
  • Clan lands of the warring Tenakth

The tribes have formed an uncertain alliance as a common enemy appears to threaten the peace. In the lands where the tribes are located, machines can be seen here and there. The trailer also shows a tribe that has made use of the robotic animals and rides them through the Forbidden West.

When will Horizon Forbidden West appear again? Aloy’s new adventure begins on February 18, 2022. The requirement is that you have a PS4 or PS5, because Horizon Forbidden West is PS-exclusive.

The world from Horizon in VR

In addition to Horizon Forbidden West, Guerilla works together with Firesprite Games Horizon Call of the Mountain. But this is not another journey from Aloy, but a separate VR title for Sony’s latest PSVR 2 hardware.

Aloy is supposed to appear in the game, but the title will introduce a new main character. But unfortunately there is no information about a release date. Nor do we know when PSVR 2 will be released.
