That’s so cool about it: Virtual reality is still considered a niche, and most games are more of a gadget. But Half-Life: Alyx doesn’t. The shooter has garnered dream ratings across the board and is considered a flagship VR game that takes technology out of its niche. There is simply nothing better when you have a VR headset.

So far only on high-end PCs: The crux of the matter has always been that you need an extremely upgraded, powerful and costly PC and on top of that a very expensive VR headset if you want to play Half-Life: Alyx. Should the Valve hit actually appear for Sony’s PSVR 2, that would at least change significantly. Provided the headset doesn’t get extremely expensive.
