In FIFA 22, FUT Champions and the Weekend League have been restructured. We show the FUT Champions Rewards, everything about qualifying in Season 3 and when the Weekend League starts.

What is FUT Champions? FUT Champions is the mode in Ultimate Team that brings players the best rewards. However, you have to qualify first to be able to participate.

In the past, FUT Champions took place exclusively in the form of the “Weekend League”, which always took place on the weekend. In FIFA 22 things work a little differently, and the schedules change too.

FUT Champions Qualification – How to get into the Weekend League

These are the play-offs: Instead of concentrating entirely on the weekend, there are now “Champions Play-Offs” that take place during the week. You can qualify for them by playing Division Rivals and collecting 1,250 qualification points.

In the play-offs, on the other hand, you have to climb the so-called “ladder” to qualify for the “finals”. However, there are already rewards in the play-offs that you can secure yourself – whether you reach the finals or not. You need 20 points from 10 games – 4 wins and 4 losses are enough to get into the final.

The Champions Finals always take place on the weekend – so they are the new version of the Weekend League. Once you have gained access, you can freely use it for the weekend that suits you best.

This is how the Weekend League runs in FIFA 22 – Finals on the weekend

When does the Weekend League run? The Weekend League always starts on Friday at 9:00 a.m. and ends on Monday at 9:00 a.m.

How to get rewards: If you made it into the Weekend League, you have to play up to 20 games there. Depending on how many points you collect, you will also receive rewards.

This year, however, there are not only points for wins. Even defeats can earn you counters. According to the current status, the system looks like this:

  • Wins are worth 4 points
  • Defeat earns a point

Changes to season 3: In Season 3 of FIFA 22, some changes including new ranks and rewards were added. We’ll show you here.

When are there rewards? There’s something new here: You will receive your FUT Champions rewards as soon as you have completed your 20 games. Alternatively, they are available as soon as the respective competition is over. So you don’t have to wait any longer for the following Thursday.

Qualification for the FIFA 22 Weekend League

You have to do that: If you have managed to qualify for the play-offs through Division Rivals, you can play for the finals there.

Here you have to play a total of 9 matches with which you can get rewards and a FUT Champions Finals token. You can then use this token for the Weekend League.

To get it, you need a total of 24 points. The same applies here:

  • A win is worth 4 points
  • Defeat earns you a point

Accordingly, for example, you would qualify for the Weekend League with 5 wins and 4 losses.

  • Rank 10: 4 points
  • Rank 9: 12 points
  • Rank 8: 24 points
  • Rank 7: 36 points
  • Rank 6: 45 points
  • Rank 5: 51 points
  • Rank 4: 60 points
  • Rank 3: 67 points
  • Rank 2: 72 points
  • Rank 1: 76 points

Even with just a few wins, you can get a lot out of it, because defeats also bring points. This is what ensures that in FIFA 22 players intentionally lose in the Weekend League.
