Lost Ark: These are the most popular classes before the release – Supporters of all people dominate

The most popular class for the EU start of Lost Ark has long been the summoner, but she no longer appears with us. Who replaced them and what are the most popular classes in general for our version of the MMORPG?

What happened to the summoner? It came out ahead in our own poll of the most popular class in Lost Ark. It was also one of the most popular classes globally.

However, Amazon decided not to release the summoner in our version of the game, even though she was already there in the beta. Instead we get the sorceress, currently the newest class of the MMORPG.

You’d think that many players would be angry about this decision. But that would be a mistake, because although there is a lot of misunderstanding in the community about why not just bring both magicians, the sorceress is extremely well received.

What is the most popular class? In fact, it’s so popular that it’s currently the most popular class in Lost Ark. At least that’s what a large-scale survey in the official reddit shows.

Up to 8,541 people voted there which class they would play for the release. 15.57% of them, or 1,330 people, voted the sorceress, which makes her the most popular class. The frustration at the removal of the summoner seems to have completely passed.

What is particularly striking about the result? Of the 15 classes that we have at the start of the EU version of Lost Ark, 13 of them specialize in damage. The Gunlancer may still be able to pass as a tank, but actually, it does a lot of damage too.

There are no healers in the MMORPG, but enormously diverse possibilities to do a lot of damage to your opponents very quickly. But of all things, the only two support classes that serve to support the others take second and third place in the most popular classes.

A little ahead of the bard with 787 votes, the Paladin is currently in 2nd place with 999 votes. The top 3 is thus dominated by support classes. Often these are character classes that are less popular in MMORPGs.

So you probably don’t have to worry for now that you won’t be able to find a supporter for the first dungeons and raids in Lost Ark.

Why are supporters so popular?

The community is puzzling over this im reddit as well. The fans throw some exciting aspects into the room, why Lost Ark of all things is the MMORPG in which playing support is finally fun. Of course we don’t want to withhold this from you.

• The user Zombie_Alpaca_Lips writes: “The game gives us exciting and difficult supporters to play with. People are often not a fan of healers and supporters because they are boring playing and you just have to lie back and heal. But players want to feel that they are contributing to the group and Paladin and Bard make you feel that tremendously. “
• Puzzlehead has a funnier answer, which also speaks to many: “People only play Paladin because they end up with the coolest outfit. That’s the real endgame. “
• MarketingOwn is certain: “I’m really looking forward to the release. I also wanted to play support from the start to support my team members. I’m just not 100% sure if it will be the paladin or the bard. They are both great! “
• User Khrucible assumes that people do not inform themselves: “All the people with the cool skins will get so upset when they notice that the evil paladin is a supporter!”
