Kirby and the Forgotten Land has a release date and comes with co-op mode

Kirby and the Forgotten Land will be released for Nintendo Switch at the end of March.

To put it in the words of Nintendo: Now it’s all over! Although, of course, that’s not entirely true, after all, we have to wait a few more days for the release of Kirby and the Forgotten Land for the Nintendo Switch. In addition to the release, another trailer for the 3D platformer was published today, and that’s not enough of the good news: You can play the jumping adventure with a friend. Kirbytastic!

When will Kirby and the Forgotten Land appear? As if the months of February and March weren’t already crammed full enough with blockbusters like Horizon Forbidden West, Elden Ring, Gran Turismo 7 and Co., the pink knob wants to hop through the Forgotten Land on March 25, 2022.

This could be a big thing: The first thing my colleague Tobi said after the clip: The Forgotten Land almost has Mario Odyssey vibes. And indeed, the 3D worlds not only look huge, Kirby also comes with all sorts of cool skills that he gains by sucking in his opponents. The Nintendo mascot is also not afraid of close combat with all kinds of weapons.

Local co-op confirmed

If you don’t want to play Kirby and the Forgotten Land alone, you can bring another player or a so-called Bandana Waddle-Dee to your side. We then gambled together in local co-op mode. It is still unclear whether there will be an online co-op.

This is Kirby and the Forgotten Land

In The Forgotten Land, the pink knub is traveling to a mysterious land, according to Nintendo, in which the friends Waddle-Dees were kidnapped by a pack of beasts. The 3D worlds – the game does not offer an open world, is divided into individual large levels – therefore appear slightly post-apocalyptic, but in the motley style of Nintendo games.

The Waddle Dee City serves as the hub of the adventure. If you save the prisoners, bring them to the city, it will get bigger and bigger. Over time, this creates business and small mini-games are unlocked. Whether all of this is as fun as the first trailers and the information about the game suggest, you will find out at the end of March in the detailed GamePro test of the game.

That looks really fantastic. Or what do you mean?
