This is Bugatti’s first electric vehicle: a scooter with a “unique aerodynamic design”

Behind the agreement with Porsche and Rimac, cleared one of the main doubts about the future of Bugatti. The French company will finally have its 100% electric car within this decade. For now, to liven up the wait, fans of the brand will be able to ride their stylish newly launched eScooter.

It is certainly somewhat strange to see the Bugatti logo, one of the brands that creates the most luxurious, exclusive and expensive cars in the world, on an electric scooter. But the truth is that the company joins others such as Porsche Y BMW, which have also launched their own micromobility solutions.

“Unique aerodynamic design”

At first glance, it may seem like a common scooter, but if it has the Bugatti brand, it must have something exclusive, right? According to the company itself at CES 2022, the vehicle has a “unique aerodynamic design” whose main axis is its foldable magnesium alloy frame that leaves its weight at only 15 kg.

The scooter has two 9 inch wheels “for a combination of deft handling and good ride height.” In terms of performance, nothing is expected to match the Chiron. A 700 W motorCoupled with a 36V 10Ah battery, you can climb a 15-degree incline.

However, as if it were a sports car, the Bugatti scooter will offer three driving modes: Economy, City and Sport, with top speeds of 14 km / h, 20 km / h and 30 km / h, respectively. According to the chosen mode, the autonomy will vary between 32 kilometers and 45 kilometers.

A positive aspect of the battery is that it is removable, so it could be easily replaced at the end of its useful life. Also, while it works, the scooter can be recharged to 100% through a standard outlet in about four hours.

Another of the most interesting features is a taillight projecting Ettore Bugatti initials “EB” logo. The scooter also features classic lights at the base and top of the mast, and turn lights on the sides of the handlebars. Also noteworthy are ABS brakes and a digital dashboard that shows speed, driving mode, battery life and the status of the headlights.

Not for sale yet

Bugatti did not develop and build the electric scooter on their own. The firm partnered with Bytech International, a technology accessories company that manufactures everything from selfie sticks to Bluetooth speakers.

Unfortunately still No word on when Bugatti’s first electric two-wheeler will be available. There are also no details about its price, although in the case of this company, there is no doubt that it will be somewhat expensive.
