What features are important for 4K gaming TVs?
This is important for gaming 4K TVs: If you want to buy a 4K television to play with, you should pay attention to a few features. Above all, it should have a low input lag of less than 20-25 ms. This is usually made possible with the help of a special gaming mode.
You can see even more details in the games if the 4K TV uses very good HDR. It is best to use current standards such as HDR10+ or HDR10 Pro. OLED or LED? This is important

Ultimately, it’s a question of price. OLEDs usually cost a few hundred euros more than LED TVs.

Sony XH90 with HDMI 2.1
Sony KE-XH9005: Matching the PlayStation 5, Sony offers the XH90 4K TV. This has a full array LED display. The entire screen is divided into zones, the brightness of which can be adjusted to suit the scene. It offers a really good peak brightness and convinces with its price-performance ratio.
Sony advertises the TV as “Ready for PlayStation 5”. The necessary firmware update for the Sony XH90 has been available since the end of October 2020.
In theory, the Sony XH8 is also equipped with HDMI 2.1. However, this is an 8K TV. In our opinion, the resolution goes beyond the target and given the high price of the TV, it makes more sense to buy an LG OLED.
Samsung 4K TV mit HDMI 2.1: QN85A, QN90A & QN95A
Samsung with multiple HDMI 2.1 models: Almost all of the Samsung QLED TVs from 2021 offer HDMI 2.1. The only exceptions are the Q70A and Q80A models with 50 inches or less, and the Q60A series.
Otherwise you can buy the Samsung QLED Q70A, QLED Q80A, QLED QN85A, QLED QN90A and the QLED QN95A. All have HDMI 2.1, apart from the exceptions mentioned. However, the entry-level models Q70A and Q80A are currently hardly available.
The QN85A offers a very good price-performance ratio and you get the best possible Samsung 4K TV with the QN95A. This has a very high peak brightness of up to 2,000 cd/m².
