Genshin Impact removes cat-shaped cloud – fans are outraged: “literally unplayable”

There are many cute little details in Genshin Impact that players only notice if they keep a keen eye. Some fans noticed that a certain cloud is no longer visible in the Teyvat sky. They called the error “incredible” and even contacted Genshin Impact customer support.

Which cloud is it? This refers to a larger cat-shaped cloud that you can find at the Asase Shrine in Inazuma. You can admire them best in the south of the island. But not every player can look at the cloud, because you have to complete quests beforehand.

What quests do you have to do? “Neko is a cat” is the name of the quest series and you can only complete one of the nine orders per day.

If you have completed the entire quest chain, you will receive the achievement “Cat in the Clouds” and from now on you can see the cat-shaped cloud at any time – at least in theory. Because some players have now reported that their beloved cloud is suddenly no longer visible in the sky.

Cat-shaped cloud is missing: “Genshin Impact is literally unplayable!”

Reddit user TheEdelBernal posted a thread about how much he misses his beloved cat cloud (via reddit). It’s his favorite place to just hang out in Genshin Impact and listen to the music.

TheEdelBernal searched the entire island but couldn’t find the cute cloud again. He promptly contacted the game’s customer service, who responded to him within a few hours (via reddit). Customer support couldn’t fix the error right away but acknowledged there was a problem, the reddit user said.

The responses in TheEdelBernal’s reddit thread are filled with irony:

  • Grimstarzz: You can’t have anything in Teyvat either.
  • leopoldshark just screamed, shaking his fists, “CELESTIAAA!”
  • As compensation, Kiefer2018 demanded Urgestein and Playernotcopper replied: “No, man. That crap is very personal. FREE 5 STAR CHARACTER!”
  • osyady and several others are now totally sure: “literally unplayable.”

Other players also reported that their cat cloud was gone. They jointly theorized that completing quests in patch 2.4 could be the cause of the disappearance.

However, we at MeinMMO asked various people who could not confirm this theory: We still have the cloud in the game, regardless of whether patch 2.4 quests have been completed or not.
