“iPhone SE+ 5G” for this year, a new larger iPhone SE for 2023
Rumors about the next generation of the iPhone SE do not stop appearing, probably because its launch is scheduled for this beginning of 2022.
Today’s new report comes to us from Ross Young, who says that this year we will see a model identical to the current one in terms of design but internally improved, and that in 2023 we could see a renewed iPhone SE with a 5.7-inch screen
The name of this new model that Apple is preparing is “iPhone SE+ 5G” according to Young. A name that sounds strange to say the least within the Apple ecosystem, but that is your information.
Next SE model is rumored to be called SE+ 5G and will have a 4.7″ LCD. Previously said the next SE model, SE3, would either have a 5.7″ or a 6.1″ display. It is now looking like it will be 5.7″. May be launched in 2023 rather than 2024.

iPhone SE+ 5G? What is that, Android?
This nomenclature does not fit us within the names that Apple usually uses. Using the “+” or “Plus” on an iPhone can lead to confusion, as traditionally Apple has used it to refer to larger models, specifically the 5.5-inch ones. And this iPhone SE is going to have the same screen size, 4.7 inches, as Apple’s small iPhones.
On the other hand, Apple has never used the last name of a wireless technology since the iPhone 3G, a device launched 15 years ago. When the company included 4G or 5G technology, it did not use these terms in the official name of the devices.
We do not know if the new iPhone SE will be called that or not, but what most rumors do seem to agree on is that this year we will simply see a Improved iPhone SE 2 with a new processor and 5G. Apple probably won’t even change the name of the device.
