Destiny 2: Hotfix 3.4.0.3 is coming – patch notes and information

Destiny 2 is coming today, January 20th, with a hotfix update on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Google Stadia. Hotfix 3.4.0.3 also brings a small server down. You can find the most important times and information here on MeinMMO.

What you need to know today: Bungie has announced a brief downtime for Thursday, January 20th. The servers were already offline on Tuesday and Bungie will now install Hotfix 3.4.0.3 today. Incidentally, Bungie already prepared this maintenance yesterday in the background so that the downtime today is as short as possible.

So that you know exactly when you can gamble and what changes in the game, MeinMMO accompanies you through Hotfix 3.4.0.3 and always updates this article with fresh information.

Maintenance on 01/20 – All times and server down

These times are important today:

  • The maintenance work on all platforms will start at 5:00 p.m. German time.
  • The servers will then be offline from 5:45 p.m. You will be kicked out of all activities and downtime will begin.
  • Around 6:00 p.m. the servers are back online and hotfix 3.4.0.3 is rolling out worldwide
  • Once you’ve downloaded (and copied) the update, you’ll be able to play Destiny 2 again.

Important is: Even if you have downloaded the update, you may experience connection problems until the end of the maintenance work. You may have to expect queues when logging in. Also keep in mind that third-party applications and the official companion app cannot be accessed correctly.

This changes with Update 3.4.0.3 in Season 15

That brings the hotfix today: Some players are still experiencing multiple issues, and today’s Destiny 2 Hotfix 3.4.0.3 looks set to fix some of these known issues.

  • There are issues related to low performance on the PC
  • Players are also reporting performance issues on consoles
  • There are problems with the increased occurrence of the MARMOT error. Typically, players only receive the message when Destiny 2 game files have become corrupted and need to be repaired or verified.
  • Also, some players were not unlocking the Wild Overgrowth shader in Collections after Hotfix 3.4.0.2.

If you also notice problems in the game, then it is always advisable to report them directly via the official Bungie Help forum report to draw attention to it.

Patch notes for the update in Destiny 2

What’s in the patch notes? Bungie publishes the comprehensive list of all changes to an update in the form of patch notes. These traditionally appear together with the update itself. So they are not yet known.

As soon as we know exactly what Bungie adjusted, we’ll add it to this article for you.

Especially very annoying errors and bugs like to spoil the fun of the game. In the past, only Tuesday was Bungie’s “maintenance day”. But that has now changed. The developer now also updates the server on Thursdays and thus brings hotfixes into play more frequently.

What’s your opinion? Do you think Bungie’s update frequency is so much better and fixes bugs faster? Or are you bothered by the second day of the week when you have to expect downtime?
