Dying Light 2 finally reveals details about the start – everything about the preload and the start time
Dying Light 2 will be released on February 4, 2022. We already knew that much, but now the developers at Techland have also revealed what time you can play the zombie adventure and when you can download it.
What new information is there? In a tweet and via Discord, the makers behind the survival horror game Dying Light 2 have finally revealed when you can download the new game.
The start times of the different regions were also revealed. However, there are some things that differ between PC and console. So it depends on whether you’re playing on PC, Xbox or PlayStation when you’re allowed to download and play.
When will Dying Light 2 start? The game will be released at different times around the world. Dying Light 2 is available on Xbox and PlayStation at 12:00 a.m. local time on February 4th.

So on the consoles you can start playing at 0 a.m. no matter where you are in the world. On the PC it’s a little more complicated. Dying Light 2 comes to our computers at 1 a.m. on February 4th, exactly one hour after the consoles.

When does the preload start? Again, there are differences between the various consoles the game appears on. On PC and PlayStation you can download Dying Light 2 48 hours before the release.
On Xbox, however, the preload is available now. The developers say they want to make sure that everyone can gamble on time for the release.
How much do you have to download? According to the official system requirements on Steam, the PC version of Dying Light 2 requires 60GB of free disk space. We cannot confirm at this point whether this is identical to the consoles.
