HandOfBlood’s LoL team now even wins in a row – already dreams of the European Cup
In the highest German league for League of Legends – the Strauss Prime League – things are heating up at the start of the season. Eintracht Spandau, the team behind German YouTuber HandOfBlood, got off to a disastrous start but have now won three games in a row. Everything seems possible for the fans and also for the team itself, although the team is in 8th place out of 10.
How did the first few weeks go for Eintracht Spandau? Very mixed. HandOfBlood only founded the LoL team Eintracht Spandau together with his agency INSTINCT3 at the end of 2021. They took over the place from EURONICS in the Prime League and say they want to fight for the EU Masters in the long term.
- However, the start of the season was disastrous and they could not win a single one of the first four games.
- The main problems were the control of the dragon and the team fights. A lot of things still seemed uncoordinated. One team fight even went so wrong that it was published by the Prime League as its own highlight video entitled “Teamfight Long Throw 2022” (via YouTube).
- However, on January 23, Eintracht Spandau met Team Wave, which also suffered four defeats. EINS was able to control the game over long stretches and also win in the end. This victory was even loudly celebrated in front of a restaurant.
- Since then, the team has enjoyed a regular run of victories. The team is now unbeaten for 3 games in a row. And on Twitter they are “usually modest”.

How did the last matches go for Eintracht Spandau? While the first matches mainly had problems with the midgame and the team fights, the HandOfBlood LoL team is now playing consistently good games. Pride in particular excelled on the top plane, who was the only one able to win his lane in the last match against Penta 1860.
In fact, the last match was very balanced even over long stretches. However, Eintracht Spandau controlled the dragon and was even able to secure the dragon soul after almost 30 minutes.
The match was also decided in the end by a successful team fight at the Baron.
So the team managed to turn the weak points and play stronger as a unit. This is exactly what could be so dangerous for the rest of the season.
How strong were the opponents so far? So far, Eintracht Spandau has prevailed against direct competitors for the last places – Wave (10th place) and PENTA 1860 (9th place).
The exception here is Schalke 04, who have now lost three matches in a row after a strong 4-0 start. The first matches were against Gamer Legion, MOUZ and EWI, who are currently in 1st, 2nd and 4th place. With Unicorns of Love (5th place) and SK Gaming Prime (7th place), further direct candidates for midfield await in the coming weeks.
However, only in the second half of the season will it become clear how good the team really is when they play against Gamer Legion and Co. again.
The team is already talking about “destruction of the league” and “European Cup”
How does the team react to the wins? Usual euphoric. Prime, the supporter of Eintracht Spandau, spoke on Twitter of a “beginning” and that they will now destroy the Prime League.
HandOfBlood itself is probably satisfied with the performance of the last few days. On Twitter he spoke again of winning the European Cup.
This cup is the EU Masters, a tournament in which the best teams from the various European leagues compete against each other. So it’s the highest price you can get outside of the LEC.
Of course, behind these tweets there is a lot of self-irony and PR, because there is still a long way to go to win the EU Masters. But that is exactly the idea behind the Eintracht Spandau team, which wants to create a fan culture that is otherwise known in football.
And when it comes to football, too, Schalke 04 fans are still singing about the best club in the Ruhr area and the championship, even though they no longer play in the first division.
