How to find it in the dark and other quick iPhone tricks that make your life easier
The use of the mobile phone can be wonderful if we use it correctly, just as it can be a real nightmare if we can’t get hold of it. That is why today we are going to explain some little tricks that will help you on a day-to-day basis.
The most complicated part when we buy a mobile is to adapt to it. This process is complicated, arduous and, at times, exasperating. Luckily it is only a matter of time.
And Android is not the same as iPhone, nor Samsung as Xiaomi. Each phone is a world, regardless of the operating system (here the news of Android 12), because even within the OS itself, each company has its own customization layer.
That’s why today we want to give a few quick and easy tips for you to adapt to your new iPhone, with some tricks that will help you on a day-to-day basis:
Find iPhone in the dark: Surely you have lost your iPhone in the middle of the car, at least once. Instead of turning on the lights and searching every corner of your house at 2am, you can ask Siri for help.
Just say “Hey Siri” and ask her to turn on your device’s flashlight feature, which should help you detect the device. However, it is important to note that the Siri function must be activated beforehand.
Use the keyboard as a trackpad: Many iOS users are not aware that their iPhone comes with a trackpad feature, which makes it easy to select text and move the cursor.
You can use this feature in any text box, such as the Notes app, a search bar, or a text message. To access it, you just have to keep one finger pressed on the space bar (the rest of the keys will appear in gray).
Then slide your finger across the space bar and the cursor will move across the text area.
Jump to the top of an app: If you’re in an app (like Camera Gallery) or in Safari, there’s a way to scroll to the top of the page instantly.
This useful feature is one that most people have used, but without realizing it. Still, it’s very handy and can make your browsing experience much easier. All you have to do to scroll to the top of the screen is tap on the screen right where the bottom of the notch begins.
Open recently closed tabs in the Safari app: If you’re browsing Safari on your phone and accidentally close a tab, there’s a way to get it back in seconds.
All you have to do is hit the tabs button, which looks like an icon of overlapping squares. Next, long press the “+” button and you’ll see a list of recently closed tabs that you can reopen.
