Sony: Brands of Bungie to be brought to the cinema

After the announcement earlier this week that Sony would take over the Bungie development studio for $3.6 billion, many players wondered what to expect from the Destiny makers in the future. While the team is working on a new brand, among other things, the two companies also appear to have plans outside of video games. According to Sony CFO Hiroki Totoki, Bungie wants to bring its brands to the big screen soon, for example.

Those responsible at PlayStation, with the support of Sony Pictures and Sony Music, now want to tackle this project together IGN reported. For the last year, Bungie has been looking for employees who will specifically take care of the development of new content for TV, film, books or comics. However, details have not yet been leaked. Sony itself is currently planning numerous films and series based on various PlayStation brands. In two weeks, one of these projects will be released in cinemas, Uncharted.
