Rare 1979 Steve Jobs business card up for auction
A Youtuber has found a Steve Jobs card among his old belongings!
Every now and then an object related to the history of Apple gains the attention of the firm’s collectors, especially those that belonged to or are signed by Steve Jobs. Recently, a Jobs proxy card has been added to this list of “relics” and will be auctioned on March 17.
The event has been organized by the YouTuber, Alfred DiBlasi, who has in his possession the business card of 1979 that he received from a friend in 1980. As can be seen in the images shared, by DiBlasi, it has been preserved in plastic and stored over the years.
Another Steve Jobs memorabilia up for auction
The 1979 business card of Steve Jobs, as Apple’s vice president of operations, will be auctioned through the specialized site RR Auction. According to DiBlasi, offer starts at $300, but is expected to sell at a much higher bid. Although he himself jokingly states in his video that he hopes to get thousands of dollars, it is certain that some buyer will take the offer seriously and surprise the seller.
In August of last year a similar card sold for $13,000 in a special auction where several Jobs memorabilia were offered. However, in the world of auctions, it is common for apparently very similar objects to be sold for totally different amounts.
To get an idea of the value that collectors paid for Steve Jobs memorabilia, in the past some have paid more than $300,000 for a job application from 1976 and $27,460 for its NFT version.
