One of the most successful YouTubers in Germany has a really bad Easter - all accounts on YouTube are empty

The great German YouTuber Julien Zheng Zheng Kho Budorovits or better known under the pseudonym “Julien Bam” had to make acquaintance with hackers at Easter. But not only he, but also at least two other well-known Twitch streamers and YouTubers have fallen victim to the same hackers.

What kind of hackers were they? The scammers promoted cryptocurrency scams. They rename the taken YouTube channels and praise the Bitcoin scam in streams and posts.

What was the impact? Julien Bam first reported on Instagram stories and wrote that all his channels, providers and accounts were hacked. In addition, the fraudsters are said to have even used the PC to dig for cryptos.

Julien’s main channel is now empty, not a single video is currently on the 5.7 million YouTube channel. His second channel “Bulien Jam” and his third channel “Jucktmeichnicht” currently show this message when opened: “This account has been terminated for violating the YouTube Community Guidelines.”

Furthermore, he has lost a total of almost 40,000 subscribers on all three YouTube channels to date (via socialblade.com). Julien Bam already wrote down YouTube Twitter to be able to contact the platform. YouTube has already responded and said they are going through further steps with him via private messages.

Julien Bam isn’t the only victim of hackers

Who else did it hit? Tastelessly, it hit the late Reckful on YouTube, who was so popular that a huge memorial service was held in WoW. A stream was also started for him, which advertised the Bitcoin scam with a presentation by Elon Musk (via Twitter). However, a Reckful video editor took care of the problem and was able to restore the YouTube channel.

Furthermore, the Twitch account of the former streamer Fedmyster was used to play the video of Elon Musk in a continuous loop (via Livestreamfails.com). The livestream platform took the initiative and banned Fedmyster (via Twitter). 800 people watched the scam stream on average.

So watch out in the future if you find out that your favorite content creators are suddenly promoting cryptocurrency.

Julien Bam will definitely get his channels back. YouTube certainly has a backup that you can restore. It is still questionable how the hackers gained access, although at least Julien Bam had even activated 3-factor authentication.
